November. I met waerth last night and 2 members of the Thai production crew. As I understand it, shooting will be in South Pattaya in a bar.

Hi MM. Yes shooting would be between Nov 22nd and Dec 2nd approximately.

Yes we would pay people to sit in a bar, with if we can find them ...... girls ...... usually on sets no beer/booze is provided/allowed though.

Pay would be 1350 thb becaue of 10% tax deduction.

Extra's are usually back ground filling so no close up shot is normally made of extra's.

It usually is a 12 hours + 1 (lunch) job. It is a lot of fun usually and a nice way to spend the day.

 

Currently we are well on our way to find the "Farangs" we are having trouble finding bargirls though because production is only willing to pay the girls 500 baht .... I expect that to rise one or 2 days before shooting if they cannot find any girls.

12 hours + 1 hour That is 13 hours of our day for about 100 baht an hour of our day. That's $3.45 an hour. I've worked movies before, and never had to work those kind of hours. Are the Thai's/Danish that inefficient in their shooting schedule? I think you need to sweeten the pot a little. We should get to play with the girls, and at least have free beer. After all, if you want that real monger look, we need to be glassy eyed drunk, with smiles on our faces, and boobs in our hands, and little brown bums on our laps.

I know an awful lot of people who have been movie extras. Once. It's very stultifying, and after the first 40 seconds of excitement, it's not exciting any more.

technically they are required to have work permits but normally the country looks the other way as it would be too difficult and time consuming to get WP for all the expats.
