There are a few restuarants on the bottom of Soi Diana, think they're dutch or german, I've had a nice steak in one of them, can't remember its name though :banghead

I've heard some really good things about the Beefeaters. Here is a link to some reviews on Tripadvisor:

Every time I am in Pattaya I eat there. The owner is a great chef. The food and presentation is as good as anywhere in Pattaya, if not better, and better than many places beyond for the price.

Excellent service, good food at a good price. I highly recommend!

I'll second that for Patrick's Belgium.

It's down the lane on the other side of Kiss (to Soi Dianne)

" MY WAY "

A small restaurant also in the Diana Arcade, run by a Dutch guy, ex merchant navy chef I believe.

Steaks are very good, portion sizes large and does an excellent Nasi Goreng too.

Make sure you are very hungry if you do go.

Closed for the whole of June each year for annual holiday.

I concur that Patrick's Belgian does a good steak. Also I've never had a less than excellent one at Pattaya Beer Garden, well worth ordering and reasonably priced.

I agree big horn steak house lovely but top walking street rightspot do a Kobe steak its bloody lovely :whistling:

I also agree about Patricks's.

But I imagine that the really best (and expensive) steaks are to be had in the top notch restaurants like Bruno's.

Incidentally, on the recommendation of a BM here, TGF and I went to Roger's - an Italian/Thai place near Pattaya Memorial Hospital two nights ago. TGF had a peppered steak and I had gammon. Neither was up to par, although the place was nice and the family owning it very hospitable.

The best steak in Pattaya is the one you buy at the Friendship or the Makro supermarket for 40 - 50 baht and then teach your Tilac to cook for you in the condo. I like my steak medium rare with a bit of HP sauce. 1luv

Sure Park Steakhouse on the Darkside is good. Manhattan's used to be the bollocks but went downhill a couple of years ago for some reason, don't know what it's like now.

1. Beefeaters 2. Big Horn 3. Manhattans( I have not been there in years though) 4. Benihana's 5. The steakhouse on walking street just before covent gardens not great beef but always a good meal for the price.

Oh ! If you want a nice fillet cooked just how you like it and served with whatever you like best, Chester's Bar on Soi Nernplubwarn is great for about B 250.

I'm surprised about the Gammon at Rogers i've always had a nice Gammon there.

With Steak it's best to let him know in advance your going in for steak as he'll go out and buy a fresh cut of the steak you want that day and believe me it'll be nice.

The other steaks are Frozen and defrosted which takes some of the tenderness from them. As business is quiet it's impossible to keep fresh steak there unless he knows in advance what he's going to sell.

Roger will always bend over backwards to make sure you have good food.

Not a specialist steakhouse as such, but the Angus steak I had at Mata Hari was the best I've had in Thailand, well tasty 7 texture just right. Their Steak Dianne is very good too. Bei Gerhard, a German restaurant in Naklua does a good steak too. In fact everything these two places do is good, so I've got lazy and tend to favor them for a good nosh when i'm in town.

I always thought only Americans and Australians were dedicated steak eaters and the Brits and Irish preferred grilled mutton with HP sauce and spuds. :chogdee
