CDs has to have one of the best value breakfasts around, though I could do without the fried toast. Agreed, the waitress looks as though you have just shot her cat...

Good pic of the 75B breakfast here.

Hardly a crime these days, the burgers always look better in the pics behind the servers too. (ala Michael Douglas in Falling Down).

The look is one thing, the content is an other thing...You may know I'm not a Secret's fun, but the best english brekkie I had in my 11 year history in Pattaya was in the Secret's villa... It may look ugly, but it was delicious and tasty...and the best one...

Looks fine to me although I can't see a bottle of HP and a bit of fried black pudding!

A steaming mug of tea needed too!

Never tried his breakfasts, as I usually go to Canterbury Tales, or 18 Coins, but have had his Shepard's pie with the Brussel Sprouts, a few times, that was ok.

The ones I have had look just as good except I go for the fried eggs. Incidentally that famous 65 baht breakfast is now 80 baht.

It's one thing for the business to advertise a flattering pic to strangers, and another for a BM to do so when recommending to other BMs, imho.

It's threads like these that I can usually pickup additional info for my Pats file. As I stayed at Chow Soy this year I walked past Seaside 11 a few times. I was aware of it for brekkie but never got there. Next trip and I hope to try a roast dinner there as well (as recommended).

I've added Butcher's Arms to my list but I don't know where along Soi Boukow it is located. Shouldn't be hard to find out.

Next to Pook bar, about 30 meters North of LK Metro.

What a bizzare thread! There are so many places in Pattaya that will give you a great breakfast and a lot of street viewing. I really cannot see why this one place is worth (so far) 86 responses!

This is essentially what you said about the Rose Apple massage thread.

I see a pattern here.

Do you have any favorite places you'd care for us to discuss?

Correct I did say that about Rose Apple and its because I just see this as another bit of free advertising.

I mean just look at the title " How can you beat crazydaves". This was a statement and not a question and it seems that there is some sort of desire to keep these sort of threads running and with no new information.

The reality is that for a lot of boardies you CAN beat Crazy Daves but for my money threads like this should start and end in the business section where they belong as that is in essence what they are about and who they benefit.

As for favourite places, well I have already today in another thread on Soi 6 mentioned Jimmy Macs but as sure as hell it isnt worth a thread on its own, but which I felt was a reasonable addition to the thread.

If you see a pattern of me disgreeing with some of the threads that seem to go on forever selling a specific businesses in Pattaya ( and they are not in the business forum) and its not acceptable then so be it.

I think the issue with Crazy Dave's is that many people have eaten there...due to heavy advertising in various media...and their reactions are quite varied.

As I said somewhere earlier in this thread, I ate there once, and that was enough.

I doubt as many BMs have been to Jimmy Mac's, so it wouldn't generate a lot of replies.

I like Stags Head and Golf Club on LK Metro, but the quality is generally so good, you'll not get a lot of folks arguing the subject of their food quality as this thread has done.

BTW, I don't consider it advertising at all. The OP just likes the place I'd guess. More power to him.

Oh, and with respect to the topic being in the business forum, that is used by business owners, with an occasional exception (your topic today, for example). The OP is not a business owner.

Yup. OK. Its late here so off to bed but I will add to the thread by saying similar to you in that I only went once and never had the desire to go back, so in the end I guess that the whole thread can be seen as rather counter-productive.

I don't get the impression this thread is a unanimous recommendation to try the place.

I put it in the same class as a Skytop thread that goes on for ages, except that the OP is not arguing how great the place is.

people have differant standards as towhat quality they expect

but having a brekkie in a place like rosies or the pig could cost 2 to 3 times more

but my mate whos visited since i last went swears by 3 coins so

one mans cd brekkie is another mans poison

So your standard is how much it costs, not that it's rancid, foul food you're ingesting?
