Saffire club (the agogo) reopens after renovations on Friday the 25th November. The agogo girls that had been working in Saffire Lodge have been given a few days off before Saffire club reopens. This is what I have been told.

 

I wrote earlier about why there were no boobs on display anymore. I didn't think to ask if this is a perminent change or just until the heat dies down. The other thing is that the ones that were displaying their assets before were the agogo girls. So the place got off to a good start but now has slumped a little. I hope the management can get the place back near the early standard that was set.

Two of us went to Sapphire and Exotica to have a look-see yesterday afternoon. Both places have upmarket decor and are expensively fitted out, very tasteful and spacious. Not that I care if not outrageous, but drinks prices in both venues are reasonable for the ambience. Sapphire had a bevy of at least 20 girls sitting around and talking, joking around amongst themselves, most of them of top agogo quality (most apparently work in agogos after their daytime 'shift') and with numerous extremely nicely enhanced funbags on full view. True stunners some of them, but didn't they know it. The words head and arse came to mind. We were completely ignored, not a flicker of welcome, except by a service girl taking our beer order and by two of the joint owners, who came over to chat - well done guys, nice to meet you. At my age and with my looks I don't expect to be mobbed by good-looking girls when I walk into a place, but IMO they are not doing their job if - especially in a new business - none of them make any effort whatever to make paying customers feel hansum, welcome and happy to return.

Exotica had around six young girls sitting outside in the pool area and another six or so sitting inside in the lounge/bar area, chatting to each other. None showed any welcoming signs whatever when we walked in and sat down, then one came over to my mate (bored him silly, as he told me afterwards) but I was ignored. Ended up talking to the mid-40s lady behind the bar - nice of her, I think she felt a little embarrassed that I hadn't merited attention from the ladies paid to give it.

I think the darkside crawl on the 21st will include both places, and I'll be on it, so another opportunity to see if customers are still invisible. No doubt other BMs will report back as well.

 

I hope that the management of these clubs see your comments. Its really amazing that people can spend a small fortune setting up a new place only to get reviews that say in essence " We were ignored" and this i know is so true.

 

What makes this so real is that in theory whilst all clubs have the same pool to draw the ladies from some seem to have the management nous to get the girls interactiive and some just dont bother and of course the inevitable outcome is that these places just die from customer apathy.

 

I have now been to the Kinnarree a few times and its always pumping and its interactive even for us older guys and thats why I know that these places can work but only if there is a will by the management to make it happen.

Another thing about these places. They get a lot of expat guys in that just come to meet friends in nice air-conditioned surroundings, drink beer and chat amongst themselves. If the girls don't know you they may not approach until invited. Sometimes I use the Mamasons to invite ladies over. Another method I use is to just grab a service girl and say "can I buy a drink for that lady over there".

 

For example: The girls in FLB know Lovedog, they know he gets busy with his paws. They also know that he compensates ladies for his busy paws by buying them lady drinks. Many of them are quick to come and say hello to him when he goes into FLB, I have seen it.

 

I hope these places do well because personally I like them.

I sometimes spot a customer sitting alone and ask the mamasan why that guy is sitting alone. I always get the answer "He no want lady". I say "Did you ask him?" and she'll tell me that either some hostess approached him, or she asked herself.

 

I do have my doubts sometimes.

I don't know, I don't see a problem specifying a particular girl and then telling mama to leave you alone when (if) she arrives.

Some places the girls are a pest, usually aggressive unattractive ones mithering you before you have got the lemon squeezed in.

I find this annoying, I dislike scroungers.

 

Other places, as a non Oriental and perhaps blatantly looking like a resident I am ignored and the girls are far away, the ones up dancing staring at themselves in the mirror and exposing nostril fluff. (Casnovy got like that, haven't been in for a while).

 

I believe the girls are told not to hound in someplaces, Mistys for example, but getting the mix suitable for all is unlikley.

 

I speculate I am regarded as 'hey, there's the old Expat who is pretty cheap but will buy a drink or two' Look around for more likely subjects, nope, no Japanese or two week millionaires, double check, once you commit if something better comes in no problem, can do the old toilet/go dance, not come back routine. 'Ok, I'll go make my quota'

This must have been cancelled though as beers were normal price. Went again Sunday, 3.30pm and about 6 customers. Only girls in the bar were service girls. When my friend asked how much bf, service girl told him 400 Inc room. So it's gone up 50 baht already. As I said no girls, so we left after the 1 beer. It seems they are having a few early hiccups.

 

Went to kinnaree. Place was packed. They had food on, mostly pastas. Heaps of girls. We stayed here for quite a while. Place is doing well.

A lot of the girls are freelancers. They are different to most night time places. I really like them as I'm an early riser. They are not for everybody though.

These places dont really intrest me. I only go with girls I am attracted to and sometimes they just arent available in places like this. I remember onec going in the Stork club and they had nothing i wanted but they seemed to think that was my fault!!

I posted on I think another thread that this Sapphire Place was very poor according to couple of my friends who had gone out of there way to try it out......

 

Needs to get its act together as being somewhat off the beaten track needs to establish itself pronto.....

Went there recently, now opens at 3pm and happy hour until 4pm. They are still struggling to get the girls in but they had a couple of hotties there. BF/room was back to 350. Not much else to report.

 

Went to Kinnaree today and they had some nice girls there at 2pm. They just kept coming and the place got real busy with lots of customers and ladies.

I am big on customer service and neither had it. Girls are one thing but a customer is your money. I really had a hard time watching management ignore paying customers while they were busy chatting up with friends.

 

Too many places in Pattaya to spend money on.

My review was on opening night (gogo). I can say that this gogo was the worst on my recent trip. Completely ignored by staff and management whilst a group of us waited to be greeted. It seemed more like a private club, if you did not know anyone you were rubbish.

 

I spent almost 6 weeks in Pattaya, this was the worst gogo I visited. I cannot speak of prices as I never even got that far. I was sorely disappointed in the expat managers. There were plenty walking around, they just really did not notice there were customers in the place.

 

Last rant. I do understand what you mean about addicts. I have watched the board slide downhill for a couple of years now. The board is now a prime advertiser of Sapphire club and gogo, if you bash it you are gone. I guess a good thing cannot last forever.

Such a small minded opinion, I found my GFE at Rioja during my last trip and Kinnaree was just thumping with wall to wall pussy.

 

Instead of trusting a photo, get off that lazy bum of yours and make the trip yourself to form a informative opinion.

Photos aren't allowed in Kinnaree and Sapphire. I don't know about the other places.
