I think its funny and I understand why its funny , but really are people so uptight they will deny they love a bargain. I shopped at walmart in Kissimmee a few times got great priced Maple syrup to take home and really tasty corn dogs on a stick I still think about over 20 years later.

On my VERY few trips to the US, I did shop at Walmart. I have to say that I have never seen the super weirdos that are shown on those video clips. I did see a number of fat (obese) people in the store but other than the tent size clothes, they looked relatively normal.

I guess it must depend on the store location. I read an article not too long ago about some city complaining that Walmart was taking up too many police resources. Every other phone call to the police in that city was about some problem at Walmart. Apparently, the city thought that Walmart ought to be providing more of its own security.

 

I know one stripper girl who won't even shop at the Walmart in her area. She drives an extra 20 minutes, just to shop in a "better" Walmart store.

 

You can probably find some YouTube videos about trouble in Walmart stores.

A bit harsh, though I've been called worse, and like Gary, I can't say I've run across Walmartians, but then they say if you're not seeing them, it's because you are..........

You can't beat their prices on name brand sundry items. Most, but not all, of their store brand items are of very poor quality.

IMHO, the only time to go into a Walmart is when they first open at 06:00.

Some stores are better than others and that depends on the area. Their store in Oakland was so bad they finally closed it earlier this year.

My ex father-in-law used to shop there all the time despite being a millionaire or at least being close to it. He was also a platoon leader in Vietnam who carried a sawed off shotgun instead of government issued weapons, strictly against cobras - as he explained, and I quote, "it's difficult to get them bastards in the head with a regular rifle"

Yeah, Walmart in the US, ASDA is the UK, both for all those Chinese-made pieces of crap you both can't live with or without.
