Hi,

Thank you for the quick replies.

I live and teach in Pattaya city.

This forum could be the way to let people know me a bit more widely, that's all I just hoped.

Educational VDO clips I have made is my good intention to encourage you guys to know how easy to learn Thai with me.

They are fun & easy, please enjoy a few more VDOs in my YouTube channel.

Best regards,

*Teacher Nong

Are you saying we can learn Thai from your YouTube channel - or are you trying to sell your services as a teacher ?

Thank you for the questions.

1. You can learn 'something' of Thai language from my channel such as the Th. writing, the useful Th. words.

2. Of course, I am selling my services as a teacher in here.

Watching my VDOs is like the way you would have seen a trailer then you could guess how good an entire of movie is gonna be.

Best regards,

*Teacher Nong

Kruu Nong

How about a list of prices and course length, what they include and your opening / working hours.

Does the course include written Thai?

Are your hours flexible?

Do you offer "fast track" courses for people perhaps on a holiday, where they can get an introduction to the language and see if they have an aptitude?.

Do you do Skype lessons?.

Maybe put some pics of your school or learning premises and the learning environment, and what a student can expect on their first lesson etc etc.

Thank you very much for the questions.

1.a

Be offered the private classes, which means the teacher going to the student's place to teach.

500 baht/ hour to

●Beginner Thai speaking

●Intermediate Thai speaking

●Advanced Thai speaking

●Basic Thai writing

1.b

800 baht/ hour to

●Thai essay writing

1.c

Please note:

Transportation fare must be included per each itinerary depending on the destination.

Must be in Pattaya and nearby area.

2.

A student and the teacher must agree with 20-hour course for the starting.

3.

Exercising papers and voice files of mine for ear training included.

No textbook included.

While the student wants one, I am able to recommend the textbooks of practicing Thai language in the market but I don't do it as far as I myself study the student well because he/she would not waste money. The student is supposed to have the textbook which either fits the prerequisition knowledge or money of his/ hers. The textbook is the responsibility only to the student.

4.

The learning hours are flexible to fit the need of the student.

Must be Thailand's time from 7am to 8 pm.

5.

Certainly, every course is the 'fast track' course. The student is surely worth getting the course as beneficially as he/ she is supposed to. I can input as fast as possible but to think about the student's side whether he/ she able to get it. So how 'fast track' the course is depends on only the student. We cannot make the conclusion that every fabric has the same absorbent quality. Same idea here.

6.

Yes, I do Skype lesson.

1,000 baht/ hour to every time zone. And to all courses mentioned above.

7.

I have plenty of pictures to show you guys. All of them have been taken at the student's places. I think it's not a good idea to launch them on the internet. I've already had the permission from ex-students of mine to do so but I would better show them to you when we meet.

Naturally you are setting the prices of your time - but can you perhaps explain why Skype lessons are twice the price of "normal" hours ? It must be easier for you also not needing to travel ?

Naturally you are setting the prices of your time -

Dear Khun Odense,

Thank you very much for the question.

I tried to answer Khun Butch's questions each by each.

So my explanation No.4 is referring to those above: 1.a, 1.b, 1.c, 2 and 3.

In short, the classes which should be taken place in Pattaya and nearby.

But

The price of Skype lesson is initiated by the basis idea of the unexpectation gap naturally occurs between time zones. And the approximation of hours the teacher has to wait and be freshened to teach. In short, the price is high because I must always be ready for the on call.

As l said - YOU set the price of your time as long as you can sell enough of it to make you happy.

That being said - are you really on call 24/7 for your Skype customers ?

I expected that you would be agreeing on a time schedule that suited both teacher and pupil - but if the Skype pupils really have free access to your time the price is actually cheap.

Thank you for the quick reply.

You did expect it correctly.

The Skype teacher is supposed to be available for 24/7 on call, isn't he? Because he cannot figure it out at the very 1st hand which part of the globe the student is.

Whenever the student's country is near his. IMHO, the negotiation between them would be made.

I would not call it being available 24/7 when it is pending on an mutually agreed schedule. If you accept to teach in your night time I can see why though.

Personally I would not pay a higher rate for Skype lessons (to me it would be a lesser product) but I wish you the best of luck with your business.

I realize that you're offering to teach Thai but it might be a good idea to indicate what your first language is. Is that you speaking in the Youtube videos? If not, are you Thai born with Thai being your first language? By the syntax used in the posts above I'm guessing that English is not your "first" language.

The I.D of "Learn Thaigood", as opposed to "Learn Thaiwell", is a bit concerning if English is a first language to you. But, I must say, if Thai is your first language, and English is your second, you speak/write English very well.

Thank you very much for your consideration & interest upon me.

1. I am a Thai, was born in a province called Suratthani.

2. Of course, Thai is my 1st, English is my 2nd language.

3. Yes, I myself am speaking in the YouTube VDOs.

Thank you for the note.

1.It is my actual intention to trigger interest in the word LearnThaiGood.

Although it's the improper English, you see, it works.

2.I've known it well that I'm not quite good at speaking & writing English. I tell myself I have to keep practicing them as long as I could.

But I'm sure I'm good enough to give explainations to students who tend to learn Thai with me, either the children of expat parents, or the senior students.

I hope you didn't take offense to what I'd written. For someone whose 1st language is Thai your English writing, and speaking, ability is, in my opinion, excellent. Best of luck to you.
