Harold Ford Mao.jpg

No big deal.
Just alleged moderate Democrat Harold Ford, Jr with Chinese Communist godfather Mao Zedong over his mantle.

I seem to be missing the point , if there is a point.

I think the punchline is missing from the cartoon

There's a few jokes in 1:

1) The structure is a Teepee and an abbreviation for toilet paper is TP.

2) A form of youth vandalism is to TP (toilet paper) someone's house/tree similar to the cartoon.

3) Toilet paper did not exist then. The joke is the look of befuddlement of the Indians.

EDIT = Whoooops, Keyman had already said the same thing..

A ritual many American kids/young teens participate in is sneaking out of a house (often where there is an overnight party) and going to a friend's (sometimes stranger's house) and throwing rolls of toilet paper over the roof, plants, etc....often making a serious mess!

Toilet Paper - TP......
