  1. Richard Dreyfuss.
  2. Just seen that film coincidentally......
  3. Danny DeVito
  4. It was a business class ticket. I just tried to use the old Expedia link to the terms and conditions and it doesn't seem to work! The T&Cs I did locate say Full Refund permitted for the reason I have. The bloody taxes should be refundable at least. Hundreds of pounds there!
  5. The Shining
  6. I have talked to Finn Air while I was in the UK, they point at Expedia who I booked the ticket through. Also Expedia UK always say I have to deal with Expedia Thailand, as if it is a completely different company. Also I am in Thailand at the moment and that is where I live. I admire your perseverance wrt your claim though.
  7. Roxanne
  8. A relieving thunderstorm last night. It has been a bit like 'hot season' lately.

  9. Yes I guess so, doesn't seem to be happening too quickly.
  10. Planes, Trains and Auto-mobiles.
  11. I still have not received any refund for the unused portion of my ticket, despite Expedia telling me I would (within 8-12 weeks). It is now over 10 weeks! I would expect at least the UK taxes on the flight, which are a fair quantity of money, could have been refunded more efficiently. Whether it is Finn Air or Expedia holding onto my money I am unsure but I think I will stick with booking directly with carriers in the future.
  12. National Lampoon's Vacation.
  13. Agreed many steaks are a disappointment in Pattaya, yet command a price. I always felt the same way about steaks in the UK. The best results I got were cooking them myself, with a little help from a thread I read here saying how to cook them. I often wonder if it is simply bad cooking. I am afraid the pic above doesn't look very good and mean with the chips.
  14. As previously posted, when a UK pal visited me he ignored my advice about getting a UK IDP. He had no problem hiring a bike on a UK licence, but the policeman who stopped him wanted to see an IDP and he got fined. I also recall being pulled up and being nearby a Brit tourist arguing the toss with a cop because the rental company had NOT required an IDP, yet here was a policeman who did, as if they cared. It is only about making money guys.
  15. Brokeback Mountain
  16. Hmm, that is hardly a convenient place. I too am considering this for a few reasons. My UK licence will have to be put away soon and the Thai one used when/If I rent a car in the UK. The address will no longer apply. They are getting quite 'difficult' when you rent a car in the UK these days (at the airport). I also had an issue with the UK credit card which was apparently a problem for Hertz, but not Avis. Still a problem for me after standing in line so long.
  17. Yes I would say it is just closer to Second Rd, next door to the Indian (Raj). Google Maps
  18. Not sure about that, love my pies in the UK but was sat in Witherspoons with juice and gravy stains down my front a few too many times.
  19. Dear me, don't like a nice butter dripping corn on the cob? I think the pie filling may also include cream of chicken soup, I have heard of it being used before.
  20. No, in the UK they are relatively cheap at £5.50 which is less than a single stop and fine....(400 baht), with no guarantee you will not be stopped multiple times. Who knows what flavour of the month is with police, they are certainly still collecting for their retirement fund as I saw Friday in town. The 3rd Rd Klang junction was doing a good trade for no left turn on red, the 2nd heading North across klang also had the regular guy picking off those without helmets or those stopping too far forward.
  21. City Slickers
  22. Oh a world of problems......... But at least you can save on the request for extra cash in the morning 'for taxi'.....
  23. Usually I am past making smart decisions at going home time!
