  1. There was never a requirement to submit a TM28 when away from your address for over 24 hours that I am aware of. The TM28 was there to report a change of permanent address. The past controversy was the TM30 reporting, which is for a property owner/master/possessor to report a foreigner in his/her property. I believe there is now a TM27 form... I have yet to get my head around this change, but since Jomtiem immigration hasn't ever mentioned TM30 to me (or TM28), I act dumb and have yet to do one for myself. Here is a thread about this on ThaiVisa. Note at the end of the OP there is a link to more discussion that will make your eyes glaze over.
  2. Well thanks for that, but I am a simple Expat, watching how my home currency does against that Thai baht....
  3. Trading close to 1 what?
  4. I was in the Hungry Hippo last night and as I sat there a tanker arrived and they ran a pipe through the dining area to supply water. I am sure I heard the manager/owner say he had not had water for a month.
  5. Yeah, I have been buzzed by them quite a few times.... they were bad enough with a fare on the back, much worse with just a pizza. Been so close sometimes caused me to jump... Don't hold your breath for the police to react.
  6. Haha, you are as nerdy as me! I have an above ground tank and have fitted the option to bypass around the tank and pump for when the electric is off and the pump can't work. I have also put a pressure gauge on the utility line so I can see at a glance when I have incoming water. The MP may well have a tank somewhere, but the rest of the pipes are a complete dog's dinner!
  7. Interesting. I asked at an MP on Sunday and was told they had not lost water, yet, I knew some areas had been suffering water cuts. I do have this fear that they will blithely continue until the last drop, or that priority will be given to tourist and commercial areas and private households will run dry. A number of years ago I recall water shortages in my old house, and tankers were roaming the streets offering to fill up domestic tanks... they had made arrangements for the water to be cut the night before and money obviously changed hands.
  8. It would not surprise me.
  9. I have always, and still carry mine in my back pocket, personally I wonder why anyone would use the front pocket, trying to impress the sheep? It is uncomfortable and very difficult to access up front..... the wallet needs to be out of the way for GGB activities too. Sat on it, I know where it is at!
  10. I hear they are very skilled, even able to use a razor and get into pockets that are not easily opened.
  11. I thought you had not been here for seven or more years? Have you checked the schedules? I had always left Thailand late at night as I wanted to arrive in UK early morning, then I could catch a train on from the airport.... in recent times quite a few carriers switched timings making that impossible (ie arriving in UK much later in the day). That made it impossible without some overpriced taxi. Thank heavens Middle east carriers filled that gap.
  12. Flew many many trips to LOS and other places upstairs on a KLM 747.(Enjoying a Grolsch beer). My last flight Bali-BKK on Thai had an aircraft change from old 747 to old 777.
  13. In use with Thai too!
  14. Brexit revenge!
  15. Trips ex Thailand back to UK in Biz are offering way more opportunities these days with fares well down on a couple of years ago. Pity I don't want to go! Two years ago I searched and searched and ended up getting BA Club World via Expedia, and, for my sins, BA punished me. Heck I can see Emirates for less on their wonderful A380s this year.
  16. I am getting seriously irritated by Sky News lately, in their push to make themselves and the world all female they have some dimwits coming out with idiot comments. I switched off yesterday when Kay Burley, said for the fifteenth time how Boris must select a near all female cabinet!
  17. Face Off
  18. Their own website says 6xA330-300 and 4xA330-200
  19. I see you also carry a Yamaha NMax these days and I am told it is a good bike. Good choice for long legged people like me over an Aerox.
  20. Perhaps BA are quite content to suspend cabin service, it is darned difficult to get their attention at the best of times. Saving fuel must also be a great incentive.
  21. Seriously?
  22. Crappy pic with reflections from Big-CX.
