What are spray brand razors? I use these Gillette Blue 2 Plus things, I may have seen Gillette Blue here but not this exact model. They were sold in silly little packs of 3, and when I tried them they wouldn't shave an egg. Some other brands bought here also exhibited such dullness. I am not inclined to waste my time and money, and will use up the 4 packs of 10 in my cupboard first, despite the fact that the heat and humidity causes the lubricated strip to peel off!

Freelancer Promotion at the Pattaya Beer Garden

If not your camera, someone else's BigD...... that's lame... to go with the limp! -
I am more concerned that they have been cleaning the bog and are now serving food!!!But I just always order my drinks and tell them to get them now. They give the usual slightly confused look at having their routine thrown off, but catch on and genially go off to do so, leaving me to leisurely peruse the menu (in LOS, a list of things they have and do not have....) If the drink order is passed off to another, as also happens often, well let them stand behind us and keep employment up!

My you are getting sarcy.... How about disposable razors, I still fetch loads of those back, although as you say the deodorants are readily available.

Not sure I would quote Villa market as an example of food prices in LOS. Even the Market in Jomtiem or Pattaya Tai are over the top. Indian restaurants do tend to be expensive in central Pattaya...... but I used to experience them in the Middle East, where for some reason the ingredients don't seem to be so expensive as to warrant the high prices. I actually think 1400 baht for 2 is over the odds, but I like to get the 2-300 baht change.

mr tooms telefone number any one have it handy
jacko replied to louis crawley's topic in Transport in Thailand
I can add to this. Having had good results with Mr Toom I gave his number to a few neighbours. He let one of them down, with an early pickup about 6.00 am. I talked to him when I saw an alternate car arrive and he was quite displeased. He had tried Mr Toom's telephone numbers but he wasn't picking up. Similar when I called him once when my ride wasn't there .... he called back later after I had found his tardy 'agent' at the airport. A car arrived 5 minutes after my neighbour left (35 minutes late), with a reasonable excuse that the scheduled car was involved in an accident. Later that same day, Mr Toom's man collected me on schedule, great car, and no problems. His service is pretty reliable, but on the odd occasion it messes up, he doesn't pick up the phone! By the way, don't be fooled by the taxis from the desks in arrivals... I know guys often feel tired and can't be arsed messing about and take the first one offered! Met a guy in a bar last night who paid 3000 baht for a taxi to Pattaya.... -

It did,...... sorry about that. I had mentioned it in a conversation with Rick.....Trip to the UK..... just to confirm why I prefer LOS!

And let the wife dictate who lives there!

SURE......? I always thought I had a TOT phone line, as that is who the bill appeared to come from. But when I checked into it, they said it was a TT&T number....

Draw them out before I go maybe.....Also I believe I can use the Bangkok Bank ATM card in other countries...... I could always come back to LOS unless I became 'non grata'... I also live in LOS and up to this time bought all my tickets ex UK. No problem, I go 2 times/year and flight dates can be changed. My future ones will be ex-los as I came out one way this time.

Actually yes as far as this issuer or a rental agency is concerned http://www.theaa.com/getaway/idp/ What the police probably requires is for it to be accompanied by a picture of royalty.

Since you live in Bangkok it is probably a good idea.

China Airlines Upgrade Deals From Uk
jacko replied to The_Fat_Controller's topic in Airline Discussion
I just flew Biz Class back to the UK with them... the crap bit was the KLM economy leg! My flight was empty and hence great... and a lot cheaper than Emirates or Ethiad...... plus no detour! -
Are Turkish Airlines able to issue the onward from Istanbul boarding cards at Bangkok now?A past issue was having to go to the transit desk to get the boarding card in Istanbul before... not good with a tight connection.

Yes, there is an extra queue and you have to be viewed on a camera.I waited there about 2-3 minutes.... and about 10 at immigration on a midday arrival. If you go down on the escalator to entrance 8, there is a guy there selling taxis to Pattaya that can be haggled to 1000 including tolls.

I see the pound has fallen back now.... Mr Darling and his pie hole!!!I have used my CCs in LOS, and fortunately no issues. It is just that I did not like the 'security' of when they did it. Some try to go off into another room with your card, some write down the number etc. That and a few dire stories on internet forums, persuaded me to avoid doing so. Also drawing cash overseas on my credit card, no, since charges start immediately at their usurious interest rates. My LOS account gave me some interest last December, and since my UK accounts are now offering near zero, might as well leave more over here. Probably start buying my airtickets from the LOS end!

Simply not true.... he posted in a thread on curries.... the once.

An international licence has no validity unless accompanied by the original home country licence. The second sentence is the reality, they will tell you whatever if they feel so inclined.

At this time I have always found that immigration is THE delay, my suitcase being there already when I get through. The exceptions being when a new immigration post has just opened, and I have managed to peel off sharply and get to the front, or when I come inwith the TGF and we can go through the Thai posts together. Perhaps make friends with one on the plane...

Yes, those that haven't finished yet await your help!

I am a little surprised by the explanation above by the OP (I know, take it up with the Trip report OP)..... Firstly, I did not know they were now making new laws that only applied to Pattaya.... especially one that doesn't make sense as tourists effectively would not be permitted to rent bikes in a tourist town??? I did know that the standard rental agreement restricted the bikes to the Pattaya area. Does it matter anyhow, policing is sparse at best, driven only as a way to collect money rather than prevent traffic violations? The typical 'traps' are on Beach Rd near the police station.....and the 2nd Rd/Klang junction. Not wearing a helmet and stopping at lights past the line are reasons to be talked to. Sometimes road blocks on Sukhumvit between Tai and Nua...... particularly where it creates the most delay.

Oh... the loud music and the fact that it wasn't music was why I haven't been back in for a while. I guess 'always' means not the 5-6 times I have been there..... That was the only problem I had within the place though, good show, attitude and service.

Jeez.... don't listen to this. The queues at this early hour are nothing compared from midday on when the European overnighters are all coming in!
