Coming from naklua into pattaya on the sukumvit rd (1km before mini siam) there is a petrol station that ALL the ngv taxi boys fill up. (i think it might be jet). Look to the rear of the station for several bays. Apparently next door is a conversion workshop. sorry no idea on the price. 1 point is that all the taxi boys are complaining that LPG(NGV) is gaining in price and mpg is low. Re-conley: The miles redeemed depend on the price of the flight (which in turn is dependant on connection times/date/availability etc. Therefore if you book a dubai - bkk with 8hr stopover on the right date then they will bill you 67000miles etc (quoting glasgow)....however if you opt for a 2hr stop at a busy time (currently the whole of july/aug is falling into that category just now)..then they will bill you 130000miles. Also the secret to Dubai is obviously to have a gold or silver card to get into the lounge therefore avoiding the sleeping millions outside. 1 thing to note

remember all wireless routers are not equal. The ones with the 3 aerials at the back will give you a greater wireless area. I bought my router in the TOT office when i signed up and it came packaged with 2 splitters. Recently my TOT service has been abysmal. You need to do the move now. Refinance somewhere and get some excess cash to add to your 1500 rent profit. Wait till the market recovers and pay the refinance off with the added profit from the house sale. you may have to sit on the house move for a few years tho....but at least you will be in pattaya whilst you wait.

In the cesspit that is pattaya, it is a brilliant location. I had an issue problem with the definition of the Pattaya Beer Garden when it opened, but for what its worth i believe Pattaya to be a better place to stay with people like Pete trying to give us choice and interesting places to go. Dunno whats happening to emirates of late. All their prices have sky-rocketed. I think they are trying to fund all the 100's of new planes they have ordered (just in time for the down-turn in aviation travel). Im on my annual 3 week holiday in UK just now and normally fly from glasgow....the price this time £1200 return....forget it.....sneakily i checked online prices every day and booked a emirates £600 from newcastle (with good connection ) so sorted. But the strange thing was that 2 days later the same emirates newcastle flight had jumped up to £960. Glad i jumped at the right time.

ok joe kicker, you dont need to watch on your computer screen. get a tv converter box from tuk com (around the 1000baht mark) and this will take a video out from your computer and convert it to a video/audio av signal so you can pipe it straight to your tv. OR The system im using just now is a divX standalone hard disk player (1500baht frm tuk com).This tiny tiny box contains a normal laptop hard disk and has a player software integrated. My TG has cover from Allianz (the office is located on sukumvit rd just 3 shop units left at pattaya north rd) The cover she has is in 2 parts, 1 for accidents (which pays out double..1 to the hospital and the same amount to the policy holder)..and the other part is a life insurance policy which matures in 15years and gives a cash back if she doesnt pop her clogs! The right direction is the opposite direction from bangkok! I have been scouting the emirates site for weeks now trying to pin down a good deal and your correct about the july/aug prices. As i stated before in an earlier post, mid june is ok as is early sept but in between ..forget it. My advice is if your really need to use emirates then check out singapore as you can do an air asia hop up to bkk for a few thousand baht. Forget manila or hong kong as it will be 400US $ for a return hop to these. Note you can get a direct singapore flight from dubai (they will try to palm you off

Just back from PBG and top marks to Pete and his team. He has taken some of my points onboard and rectified them......superb.
