  1. Elite is the 777 version of the 747's Evergreen Deluxe. I don't think their website's been updated with it yet. Not tried Elite, but Evergreen Deluxe was definitely worth the extra.
  2. I've heard that George Best became a millionaire overnight. He took his empties back to the off licence.
  3. I've heard the bit about pensions, where some people are living in LOS but pretending to live in Britain so they can get the inflation rises on their pensions when they should be frozen if they leave the country. Good luck to 'em. If you've paid into the system for a pension same as the rest, why should you get less out just because you decide to leave the shithole you're in to go and live somewhere better? End of rant. Thank you.
  4. Can't argue with that.
  5. Strange how people get upset about paying twice as much as a Thai for a baht bus but never complain about paying ten times as much for a girl. Funny old game, innit?
  6. Actually, if Thailand is supposed to be the land of smiles, how come your average baht bus driver is such a miserable tight-fisted old scrote?
  7. Police? I'd call bloody Interpol!
  8. About time they had a fast track for the better classes. Bloody commies.
  9. ...although Concorde did reverse into the ground.
  10. I have to feel sorry for Sandy Spring and the amount of business all this building shit must be costing them. Nice hotel, good location, great value for money.
  11. I wouldn't worry. Apparently, no plane has ever crashed more than once.
  12. Definitely, but your spelling isn't too good. It isn't spelt "c-u-t-i-e", it's spelt "k-a-t-o-e-y".
  13. Alternatively, just head upwards about six inches from the top of your post.
  14. About 7000 baht a day for spending money should do you OK without having to hold back too much, though you can get by on a lot less if you want. I wouldn't bother with travellers cheques. There are ATM machines everywhere.
  15. Reminds me of the allegedly true story of a celebrity book signing when an old lady got to the front of the queue and, on being asked her name by the celeb, replied "Emma Chissett". The celeb duly signed the book "To Emma Chissett" and handed it to her. Turned out the old dear was just asking how much the book cost.
  16. Good idea. But he'd better get a wiggle on cos if the local bill get a sniff of the hooky tom he pugged away in his peter after the blag on that spieler he'll be up in front of the beak and looking at a five stretch in the shovel. Am I right or am I right?
  17. I did the trip in Premium Laurel class last month. The video was fine, having a 10.5" touch screen with a choice of about 20 movies which you could play/fast forward/rewind as you wish, as well as all the usual stuff. It had a few computer games on it as well. Didn't really check out the music but the stuff on offer looked pretty average. The seats were pretty good, with a 61" pitch and a 170 degree recline. The food wasn't that great but it does come on bone china plates, and was still a lot better than the plastic tray full of reconstituted crap that they throw in your lap in cattle class. I did have a quick glance into Elite Class, and it does look better than the old Evergreen Deluxe. The seats look better and the video screens are definitely bigger. Probably still the best value for money.
  18. Hello tourists. Welcome to Thailand.
  19. Dave, you may as well push them in front of a train, the result will be the same. LAM ROOLS!!!
  20. Why bother with TC's? Just use ATM's and save yourself a load of hassle.
  21. Agreed. I'll stick with my all night on the piss tests which IS my idea of fun.
  22. Thanks. I'm in Premium Laurel on the new 777. I'll give it a look.
  23. Any chance of a preview? I'm using it myself on Thursday.
  24. I stayed there once and thought it was very good for the cash. If it hadn't been for all the construction work that started up in soi 13 I would've used the place again.
  25. I've always liked Sabai Lodge, but it'll take you a bit over your price range.
