  1. The rooms are looking a bit of the worn side but they're well laid out and I've yet to see a roach there. There don't have a go go, but the infamous disco doesn't shut until an hour after NEP. OK, but usually overcrowded. I'd recommend anyone to try it at least once. It's certainly an experience.
  2. I'd avoid all bars showing football like the plague. Much the same as with any other sport. Except F1, obviously.
  3. Looks OK for the money, but the number of lounges it'll get you into is very limited.
  4. The old one wasn't guest friendly, so the chances are this one will be the same.
  5. Never mind those, let's concentrate on the false teeth . Are we talking about ours or the BG's?
  6. Just my way of saying it's not exactly my favourite airport.
  7. I'd rather they used it as a US Military target.
  8. No it doesn't, even though the lounges are called Evergreen. Strange, innit?
  9. It's about as much fun as french kissing a skunk.
  10. I thought I was in with a chance until I read the bit about being able to stand up.
  11. I've used this service several times and they've always been 100 per cent reliable.
  12. Are we talking Thai "experts" here?
  13. That'll teach 'em not to employ cowboy caterers.
  14. Ahh, je ne suis pas le seul francais ici! Quel bonheur!!!
  15. Didn't Henry VIII write a song about this?
  16. Tried the Sabai Wing once and will be going again shortly. The rooms are definitely preferable to Sabai Lodge though perhaps a little pricey. I go for the Sunset rooms which are a little bigger than the standard ones, have an extra window and a larger balcony. Recommended.
  17. From the beach point of view, I guess the Dusit has to be favourite.
  18. Sabai Lodge. You can get to any room via the car park without going through reception.
  19. Not uncommon for them to ask for credit card details to protect them against a no-show. Asking for the three digit code as well is a little OTT IMHO.
  20. The departure and arrival times I've been given for the 777 are the same as for the 747. Guess they must have fitted go-faster stripes.
  21. When I fly Premium Laurel in September I think I'll make a point of avoiding people with those kind of special needs.
  22. They've diamond-cut the track surface since then. More grip than last year but also greater strain on the tyres.
  23. All seven Michelin teams have now been summoned to appear before the FIA to face six charges apiece of what amounts to bringing the sport into disrepute. Question is, what action will be taken against them? How about banning them for a race? Er no, maybe not a good idea. And I still haven't figured out why the crowd were hurling beer cans at the only drivers who DID put on a race for them. One more thought. If that chicane had been built and a serious accident had happened there, where would that have left the guys who built it? The sharp end of a BIG lawsuit, methinks. be seeing you monkeyman
  24. Got a top hat I can wear to make up the distance?
