I understand you need a visa not a tourist, I had an O visa when I got mine. Get a letter from your landlord or copy of a document showing you have a lease/own a place. Get a health cert 100 baht any clinic will do one Couple of photos , then soi 5 immigration to get a proof or residence cert. Then off to Highaway 36 on Sukumvit head towards Bangkok past Hospital at flyover take 36 to Rayong, after about 8 clicks you will see on the right Regents School, take the next u turn after then come back towards Pattaya after 100 yards there is a sign turn left its 400 yads

I was in UK for 11 weeks on my return (single entry) I did not get 90 days, my reporting date is 90 days from the start of my retirement visa, whuch was set 8 weeks after I applied as I had 90 days on arrival on O visa, I have been told on a multi you get 90 days, but on a single you dont....

Lots to see mate get out to Khon Khean, Nong Kai, Phuket, Samui, Koh Phan Yang , Kanchaburi all great places.... Dont restrict yourself far more than Soi Bukao and Walking st. :whistling: :whistling:

Som nam na, you could use the rent from your condo to rent a place there, but rent is dead money if you are buying it with your girl and with you sons future in mind , could you not buy it on a Thai mortgage in your better halfs name ? A guy I know has 8 condos, he rents them out and rents a house on Darkside, all I would say is leaving condos empty is not that same as houses, crime, maintenance are issues with a house left unattended as it were. The longer you stay, the people know you are an expat you may have a wife , girlfriend, girl you see who other girls call "Wife" People change, the world changes but its still a great place to spend time I am never happy leaving, even if only for 3 weeks to go back to UK .... Why would they ? its a decent and valid point you make, Pattaya is best experienced as a single two weeker, its a great place for longer trips and to reside but its different. The funny thing the Pattaya bashers still visit or cant visit, If a guy cant have a relaxing time and a laugh there the issue is with the guy not Pattaya..

Dont go then , go somewhere more suited.. 6 years ago Mick the place was mobbed with farangs, I have noticed a difference but I wondered if it was as I had stayed there longer ? Also 6 years on mobile phones, sponsors change is here whether we like it or not.. Many reasons I would say, girls are looking for 2 week millionaires or guys that can maybe turned into sponsors I would say..
