We'd all like to up sticks and just go and live in Pattaya or Bangkok and if it was at all possible we'd all be doing it. But you have to be financially independent and meet their visa requirements or you're out on your ear. As it should be

And the boxes containing the IFE equipment will be under some of the seats, particularly the aisle seats so if you take the night flight you'll be able to watch soppy American romantic comedies but unable to stretch out for a kip..

I stay at a hotel where there is no reception desk for the wing my room is in so you can bring in as many girls as often as you like and I had a freelancer nick my phone! Now unless I know the lass I and where she works I make sure they register with the reception, that's what they're for.

How busy is Feb/march
yogi100 replied to notquitevanilla79's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
You'll get a room OK in the location Aussiechic refered to. High season will be tailing off a bit by then so don't take the first one that you see unless it is up to scratch. -
At least the survey is not pure bullshit as the UK was not included.

I've also changed my TA flight back to LHR a couple of times at the Beach Rd office. Once it was 800 baht abd the other time it was 1200 baht. I was well pleased as the agent in London wanted 75 UKPs to do it through them. I believe it has now gone up to 100 quid. Thai Airways are a bit more expensive than other direct flights but the service is much better, they're convenient, easier to contact and the staff are polite and very helpful.

Thanks Tom. I'm fairly new to computers as when I was at work we never used them and younger friends have usually helped me out when I get stuck.

Cheers TC, I'll have to make a note of that. I posted what I wanted to say under an existing topic that I found.

I'm on this forum and I can see 'reply to this topic' and 'follow this topic' but nothing that refers to starting a new topic.

Hi Ct. I see you are a pretty prolific poster on this forum. How does one start a new topic? Sorry to TF but I've found it nigh on impossible to gain any help in spite of previous inquiries as to the procedure. Hopefully you can oblige. New topics should be encouraged and the necessary assistance should be readily available should the owners wish the forum to flourish otherwise Pattaya Talk will slowly wither on the vine. New topics are the life and blood of any forum! Regards Yogi100.

Renovations at the Pattaya Beer Garden
yogi100 replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
I often visit the PBG when in Pattaya and never had any complaints about the grub or the service. But the table lighting could be improved upon as it's too dim to see what you're eating. -
almost ready to retire to Pattaya buying a condo info needed

Rent don't buy. Things change quickly in Pattaya and if you've bought you're lumbered if the neighbourhood goes downhill which it can easily do. Thai lawyers can be slippery customers and you won't have a clue what you are getting into when you sign on the dotted line. -
A large percentage of all donations to the RBL actually goes to help ex servicemen which is more than can be said for a lot of other charities. A friend of mine served 13 years in the Royal Green Jackets. When he left he applied for housing to a South London Council which even back in the 1970s was a hotbed of left wing socialism and he was informed it was not their policy to provide housing for ex members of the armed forces. He got in touch with the Legion and they found him, his wife and child a home. This was after the days of national service and he had volunteered to join the army. H

It's not an event that the uninitiated consider when they go on holiday. Unless they've been to Pattaya before and heard of it happening they would not have a clue. I've got friends, mainly older blokes who come to Pattaya and of the few that know how to turn a computer on only a small percentage regularly read these forums. I had never anticipated being slipped a Mickey Finn no matter where I've been on holiday till I was aware of such an activity being comparatively widespread in Pattaya. The Thais are not going to put warning signs up on public display, they even considered banning the

The least we can do is to at least buy a poppy and wear it. Tropical Berts has them in Soi 6/1 as does 18 Coins in Soi Bhukaow. I've got mine.

Condo investment for rental income in South Pattaya
yogi100 replied to Piet969's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I have two friends who rent out houses and condos in Pattaya. They both rent out to long termers and expats and charge very reasonable rents, the 40 SM condos in Pattaya go at 7000 and 8000 and the small houses on the darkside from 6000 to 8000. These rents do not include water and electricity. They both share the same philosophy that a regular 8000 baht per month year in year out is better than charging higher rents and then having to keep chopping and changing tenants and having to deal with estate agents and with petty complaints every week. They have also been lucky in that their tenan -
If the second pic is of the shop on the corner of Lengkee and Third Rd then the proprietor of that electrical and hardware shop in the first photo is the rudest, most ignorant Thai I have ever encountered. Even Thai people say the same thing. It's a mystery how it got to be as big as it is with an attitude like his

Pattaya October Storm Watch - Gaemi coming
yogi100 replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
That same night there was 4 inches of water INSIDE the Oasis Gogo bar. But the girls carried on dancing on the stage and the waitresses splashed around still serving drinks. If that happened in Falangland especially the UK, assorted jobsworths from Health and Safety, the local council and the Fire Brigade would be round with their chests all puffed out and close the place down for a month while the insurance wallahs 'evaluated the damage'. -
Cobras MC gang. Looking for trouble?
yogi100 replied to rob270's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
They were indeed called the Road Rats. I forgot their name when I wrote my post, but they are no longer around in South London. -
Too true. The bad lighting puts me off of the place which is a shame because the times that I have eaten in there with friends the grub has been A1 and the prices very reasonable but I do like to see what I am eating. A proper lamp on each table would rectify the problem immediately.

It takes too much time to pluck, cook and prepare a pigeon and the resultant meat is too small to be worth the effort. The snakes appear to be effective as would a toy cat. I've never seen a decent air rifle or pistol capable of dispatching a pigeon for sale in Pattaya. The only air rifle I've seen in Pattaya was in the video when the jet ski scamster produced a pneumatic Crossman pump fitted with a telescopic sight, this was on the TV program 'Big trouble in Thailand' when the British Navy boys were ripped off.

I spend a lot of time in Pattaya and have never seen a punter discuss a girl or the fees with a mamasan other than those who were obviously a bit gormless. How can a mamasan know what the girl will be like in the room and you can easily discover her linguistic skills by simply talking to her.. I have seen a MS try and push a girl on to a punter and have had it happen to me a couple of times but I resent a third party conducting negotiations over what is basically a private and personal matter. You see a girl who takes your fancy and if she reciprocates you make your own arrangements with the l
