LOL - if it has a basket he can store beverages in there to save money in bars. Cost savings and pity card played, what could be better!

Ditto, that says it all, IMO.

I just went directly to the pool at Hard Rock with 2 girls and paid for a cabana. It wasn't my idea, I read in a trip report that another BM had done it. I paid at the entrance to the pool from the hotel. Can't remember how much I paid.
-
Teelack: One option i have done twice - head down to the hard rock and tip your way to a cabana.

Thanks Neil for the review.

I don't know if this was mentioned already, but the North Korean medal winners were awarded refrigerators. http://abcnews.go.com/International/north-koreas-key-olympic-medals-rewards-winners-punishment/story?id=16907983 I wouldn't be surprised if the chinese gold winners get alot. I have an ex girlfriend whose father was a successful soccer coach and still has the mercedes and driver, and houses supplied by the party.

That may be your opinion, but the OP was asking for a good spot around his hotel. Some people like to have a local and don't feel like the hassle of making a trip and then having also to return on baht buses. If he gets on at Second he's going all the way about the dolphin roundabout and dealing with Beach Road. Sitting on a baht bus on Beach Road on a busy night isn't my idea of fun, but I digress, its all about you. Carry on.

I am not sure if they have a tap, but have you tried the Buffalo Bar? I think it is close to where you are staying and I used to have some good times there.

Did I mention the Queen Vic in my post? Didn't think so. LOL The PBG is "not far" from the Queen Vic? It is 1.3 miles as the crow flies, closer to 1.5 to walk it. I'd like to see you drag your fat ass there.LOL Surprised you didn't recommend a bar on Soi Cowboy. LOL If you didn't have bad advice, you would have none to give at all. LOL How was your little "vacation", Denny?

But that is not what the poster asked for - he asked for the Lengkee, Diana, LK Metro area. At least Cherry Bar is only a few blocks away on Soi 8 in Central Pattaya. You've given him advice to a place in South Pattaya on friggin Walking Street.

Neil: I didn't stay but did check it out, including one of the rooms and was impressed. The rooms are small but well furnished and a great view if you are on a higher floor. It is on my shortlist next trip.

Tom: I hope you are wrong as I have punts on the spanish and english teams. Looks good so far. Viva la Roja!

Skybar@Lebua State Tower, Bangkok. Great views up here....
Hub replied to firth1974's topic in Pictorial Travel Reports
Come on, man up Dung! I had one of my best Loy Kratongs in Bangers. Drinks at the JW Marriott, dinner at a Thai place on the river, and then to the lebua tower. They had a great live blues singer/band from the US. -
Kessaya (now Hallmark) motorbike rentals review
Hub replied to NorCalKid's topic in Transport in Thailand
I just paid 2,500 baht a day each for two bikes in Bermuda and they weren't even as nice as yours. -
+1 Before I read your post, I thought along similar lines; "I love dogs, so lets go to Korea and eat some."

I got the "please don't touch laundry even if I am working". Thought I was helping. The quirkiest was when I was working in the garage one weekend day with the door open and started hearing popping sounds. She was whipping old hot dog rolls out onto the pavement from a balcony. I live in a well-maintained and landscaped semi-gated circular community and people that live here often jog and stroll about, and she's whippig the hot dog rolls out. Her reason - she sees a lot of animals in the woods and wanted to feed them.

Same-same AC problems, horrible service, loud in the morning, the owner was a complete tool (I don't mind being ignored but loud public accusations of non-payment for crappy rental clubs without checking to see if they actually had been paid [they had] is too much]. Never again.

I think I may have got an all blacks shirt at made in thailand soi9 and second but not 100% sure

Wouldn't it be closer to 650/day even with the longterm rental? Also, you don't have to pay utilities at a guest house.

Award Tickets: 1st Class Depart/economy Return - Or Visa Versa?
Hub replied to SmellyFarang's topic in Airline Discussion
Just my opinion, but I would always opt for the first class coming back. You will be looking forward to the lovelies on the way out and will be relatively happy and would dread the ride back. This way, you have something to look forward to when taking the depressing taxi to suvi at the end of your trip, arriving fresh for work in the US. -
I know things change daily, but the rissoto with mushrooms was impeccable when I was there last for lunch.Glass of white was nice also.

Kind of a boring fight. Put a few ducats in my my pocket though.
