IMHO, wearing a helmet is first police-proof. Second, all necessary documents should be with you most of the time you ride in case you were stopped. Finally, some 100, 500 baht banknotes just in case the helmet and documents can't save you.

My Thai friend used to take me to his hometown in Songkhla by Thai Train, 3rd class, no aircon, no bed. I was the worst 18 hours of my life. After that, Thai train has never been in my transportation list no matter how far I go. Once is more than enough for this shit.

I love Isaan food Don't know if it's the best made to order Thai Food & Seafood on Walking Street but this is my favorite! Can't hardly wait to go back.
