  1. It can be hazy but it's not visible brown smog. Don't know what the air pollution numbers would be.
  2. This actually seems to be a decent site for a full range of information relating to airports.
  3. Add in that the actual names had been in the news for some time and that this was in San Francisco which has a rather significant Asian population.
  4. Runway 28--actually almost due west.
  5. Second hand speculation on another monger board by guys who might be pilots is that 214 may have been coming in too high and tried to dump altitude and over "corrected".
  6. Tempted to give you a -1 so you could relive the experience, but no.
  7. If you google "Goebbels excommunicated", you will see it mentioned in some dodgy sources, but, strangely, you never see any information about which bishop excommunicated him or on what date. If Goebbels married his wife in a Protestant or civil ceremony, as was apparently the case, he would have been regarded as not being in good standing in the Catholic church, but that is not excommunication, which is a legal act under canon law. I know I'm picking at definitions (being Jesuitical?), but you're the one who brought it up.
  8. But it doesn't mention that his middle name is Norton.
  9. The 1-Day Acuvues are about 2,000 baht for a 30 day supply. Use them when I go scuba diving. Really don't want to be reusing something that has been in the Gulf of Thailand off Pattaya. You may be right about using daily disposables all of the time.
  10. Jeez, I didn't know there was going to be a test
  11. No need for a prescription, just know the numbers. For Accu Vus--1,000 baht for two boxes (6 lenses per eye)
  12. I've bought Accu Vu contact lenses in Thailand. As far as I could tell, they were the real thing and I was entirely satisfied. I got them at one of the optical shops in Central Festival.
  13. I'm sure that is San Miguel Lite, not that there is anything wrong with that. Now if you start selling SM Pale Pilsner
  14. Apparently on sabbatical.
  15. I agree. Don't self-prescribe, hypertension and the various meds are too serious to address on your own. But if the doc does prescribe a medication, I would suggest educating yourself on how it works and talking to the doctor about how it affects you. If one makes you feel like crap, there are likely to be alternatives, although with other risks/side-effects.
  16. But not when I am going to be dependent on one of those no tp binjos.
  17. What about my blockage problem?
  18. That was what I was thinking. Certainly once there was smoke.
  19. Bulkheads don't give.
  20. Many (most?) drugs are available in Pattaya pharmacies without prescriptions. I have no idea whether that extends to narcotics such as morphine and, even if they were, I would have some concerns in the event one had an encounter with law enforcement. Competent medical consultations are readily available. Perhaps see a local doctor and get a prescription?
  21. Unfortunately I don't have an answer but it may help to specify the model.
  22. At least not while they are on the clock.
  23. I think that is it. Not in Pattaya right now, but I seem to remember it being quite noticeable riding the baht bus in from Jomtienogorsk just after the overpass, very rectangular.
  24. Now that we have established that sympathetic middle age male PMS can be transmitted electronically.
