Today, the Rose Apple massage, of all places, had two or three couples from the Middle East in for foot massages. The staff wasn't that happy afterwards. Don't think there weren't any tips.

Finishing up three months in View Talay 2A now (yeah, there goes my reputation), and the most notable thing about the demographic of the residents is the number of senior citizen couples. Makes for some scary sights at the pool but sure cuts down on the loud partying.

Pattayatalk forum software upgrade - problems?
nkped replied to MM's topic in Technical problems or questions.
On a Samsung Chromebook, which may or may not be the same Chrome software as you download to your laptop. -
Note MM's original proposition "using family or loved ones to attack other posters." Why in the world do you want to bring somebody's wife into a discussion where there had been no mention of her, other than to try to intentionally provoke that person? Insult does not take in everything that is inappropriate and objectionable.

The dreaded Pattaya cough
nkped replied to teelack's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
The last week or so, I have developed a very mild case of the sniffles and sneeze occasionally. I tend to think it is allergies, although nothing like what I would get in Washington state in the spring. I suppose there could be something here that blooms in March and not before. -
Great post Atlas. I have just about finished my first three month trip and have made a reservation with Dancewatchers for next January and, as I have said elsewhere, am considering a shorter visit in September. With all that, I still don't think I will move here although I have thought about it. Why? After 3 months, I am still not dealing with the heat that well. I like my spectator sports and seeing some of them in person, even if it is college and minor league. In three months, I have lost about 15 pounds and certainly feel in better shape than I have in ages. That's certainly good and

Proving I have it bad, I am considering a 30 day trip to Pattaya in September, as well as the 3 month trip starting next January. I know it will still be raining in September, possibly almost certainly a lot. Anything else to be concerned about?

Okay, could quote this on my Nook which is a big Android. Still, no voting arrows. And can edit it as well. Don't know WTF is going on with my Google Chromebook. -

Think there is something with Chrome. I couldn't quote your message and the edit on my earlier post didn't actually take. -

With Chrome: No first unread post; Quote function doesn't work; Edit doesn't work. -
Don't know where you will be getting your visa. At least a couple of us did it successfully by mail with the Thai consulate in Los Angeles http://www.thaiconsulatela.org/index.aspx Their form is used for a number of types of visas and may be a bit confusing. They have a page for people in the US applying for tourist visas which helps a bit. http://www.thaiconsulatela.org/service_visa_detail.aspx?link_id=33 The current iteration says a limit of 2 entries. Another member may have gotten a visa for 3 so ??? Went back to school at 35 and did okay but that wasn't in Thailand. Not sure tha

Okay, Canada and Mexico.

I agree but you tend to get a blank look during the "interview" if you say United States.

Much the same in the US with a few notable exceptions such as John McCain's sons. I may have missed it, but I don't know of any of this generation of Bushes or Kennedys (and there are a lot of them) who have served in the military. I know the monarchy no longer has a political role in the UK, but that is one of the reasons I respect Prince Harry. He went to the rock pile not once but twice. While the government is probably not going to authorize a combat deployment for William, flying rescue helicopters is not exactly risk free.

I didn't know the name but certainly had heard the hockey song many times while watching Hockey Night on CBC which is commonly available on US cable systems along the northern border. RIP

Not to be critical, but has the recruiting sergeant gone on leave/retired?

When I first saw the menu listing, I thought it might be lizard in view of the very distinctive call of a rather large, ugly lizard in Isaan.

Perhaps evidence for the old adage about rugby being a game played by gentlemen.
