  1. I will certainly also visit again - I liked it a lot for a period of time - but then they stopped the draught and shortly after that it was all fully clothes dancers Looking forward to seeing the improvements
  2. Wow - no more kiddie gloves
  3. If you can also say that the girls are not all coyotees with silly barfines things are looking better again Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Looks like a nice enough place and (for Manila) good value for money
  5. On reflexion I tend to agree - I will pick the incall though
  6. The incall prices seems fair - but how is it that much more expensive to live here for the outcall persons ?
  7. Interesting thoughts - and somewhat similar to mine - I would not mind an older building - I even quite like the Nirun - but there I would need a "double unit" to be big enough
  8. Looking at the prices of condos - it seems that the new developments (to be ready to move in late this year or next year) are cheaper than the (newer) existing ones. I know that in reality this is not the case - but I was wondering if there were trustworthy rules of thumbs about how much extra the price would be and for which items ? I would also like to hear the members experiences with the various developers - I am sure some are much better than others and there must be plenty to avoid ?
  9. Good for you - I hope (and think) you will enjoy your time in Thailand
  10. Both Leo and Chang are drinkable - so no worries
  11. I agree with jacko - but also with Sailfast - if we want reasonable barfines the bar needs to have a better profit on the drinks. I wish the salaries and ladydrink earnings were lower so the women actually made a real profit from going with a punter without the pricetag being too excessive
  12. Naturally - broad generalizations are very rarely true for all the individuals - but I think it is true as a generalization ;-)
  13. I only commented on this because the question was raised why they emphasized that it was "British-Chinese" cuisine - and you are right Martin - the quick answer would have been "Tex-Mex" Not having too much experience I will admit I liked the Tex-Mex meals I had in Corpus Christi better than the real Mexican meals I had in Coatzacoalcos - but that could very well be coincidental. When the cuisine is called "Tex-Mex" it is IMHO not the same as if the Texan restaurants had just called it "Mexican" But back to Wok N Rok which seems to get very favorable customer feedback.
  14. Outside Pattaya and Bangkok driving is really not that bad - I am sure you can do it - just bring an international license. I guess - just to have peace of mind - it would be worth it to hire a driver for the first 2 -4 weeks so you can see how the conditions are - I think if you ask the company they can arrange it at a reasonable price also.
  15. It seems that Britons (and also other nationalities) think about their curries (and other Asian dishes) like the Americans think about their pizzas - those pesky originals (Chinese / Indian / Pakistani or Italian) does just not measure up
  16. Friendly girls is always nice - and they usually are at Babydolls :)
  17. Have a chat with Mark at http://kessayamotorbikerentals.com/ Ha can give you advice and also a good deal on renting one.
  18. Looks really nice - but unfortunately in my case it is usually correct when they say that if I have to ask the price I cannot afford it.
  19. That was quick. VT2 units take ages. I suppose it depends on the price tag - competitively priced units can always be sold. In fact - If you have a unit in Nirun (either in the tall building of a double unit in one of the 3 lower buildings or a good unit in VT2 or a corner unit in Ban Suan Lalana or something similar - priced to move - I would like a PM. 20. Which authors do you like for light reading ? I like e.g. Lee Child, Clive Cussler, Tom Clancy Which authors - with a similar "flavor" - do you like ? Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Just slightly beside the point but does Google Maps navigation not work in Thailand (Asia) ? Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Of perhaps just do what a lot of people did - get an ebook reader and just download what you want. Rumors has it that English language ebooks are quite easy to find for free ;-) Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  23. Always worth a visit Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Sent from my TAC-70061 using Tapatalk 2 That is true - not very well written - good that Bangkapiboy managed to decode my meaning
  25. Looks like a nice place. I wish there was more of the studios from 42 to 60 sqm that had a separate bedroom. I guess most people like the big room (since most in this size are that way) but I would be happier if it was divided into a bedroom and a combined kitchen/lounge.
