Good deal on Etihad for April LHR to BKK return
Fatboyfat replied to Gawd Elpus's topic in Airline Discussion
The transit security is a nightmare, at times. You'll be longing for the "organised queues" no matter how long, at Bangkok after experiencing the free-for-all scrum at Abu Dhabi!! BTW they won't let you take water bottles through security. Food is good on Etihad, in 1st and biz it is anyway. Not too keen on that 0840 departure from BKK. -

I wouldn't class the Pattaya Marriot as a "High End" hotel. I used the chain extensively when working, and it is not up to the standards met elsewhere in the world by Marriot.

Yeah, there is no mistaking that voice! These annual "Crossroads" concerts are excellent, especially as an opportunity to catch "the legends" and I wish that I had been able to get to one of them.

Aha, now the obvious has gone before, and another object of lust, Anna Kournekova would in all liklehood be a dead end so an Oscar nominee, but not for this, would be:- Robert Forster

The "premium" for the luxury of a direct flight, I suppose ! -
Nah! But if I had I would have probably have lost it all again on my "crappy" football predictions!

Yet another movie full of B raters, TV actors and obscure "commies" ! Not one will spring easily to mind, but at least I have heard of this one (24 hours) ; James Faulkner

If they did, it was cheap stuff.... It is fading already! Passed it for the first time yesterday; despite the red and white kerb markings, Baht busses were aligned the whole length of it ! -
"Meet and Greet" for "paupers"! at Suvarnbhum Airport
Fatboyfat replied to marleyboy's topic in Airline Discussion
Or you could send him through the "fast track" alone and get him to sort all the luggage out from the carousel in advance for the rest of you! Mind, that might look a bit suspicious if caught on camera! -
"Meet and Greet" for "paupers"! at Suvarnbhum Airport

The chair user will, but your group won't though. However, even if he choses to stick it out with the rest of you, he will at least have a seat for the long queues. -

"Meet and Greet" for "paupers"! at Suvarnbhum Airport

I'm not sure how BigD gets away with that without prior booking! But if your friend genuinely struggles with mobility, including long distances, the wheelchair assistance should be arranged in advance (at least 48 hours prior to flight). UK airports will allow you to push him if you wish, not sure about others. I used the service once with a cracked ankle, where, although I could hobble around reasonably well, the long distances involved at both Thailand and Abu Dhabi were a bit of a struggle. I was told then, that the motor carts were not an option for that service; but that could be just Abu -

Dubai is the only place I can think of that I have not had to go through security in transit of late. That could be as the transit takes place in the same terminal, just different "concourses", for the Glasgow flights.

Well, "Slam" match on Saturday (or Sunday morning here) in Paris. The French have been pretty dismal so far, and I get the feeling that the old adage of them "suddenly turning it on" is a forlorn hope for them nowadays. Their league set up seems to have obliterated the "Flair" of old, and is detrimental to the production of French nationals, IMHO. 10 point win for England I reckon, and Billy V. to have another blinder! (That's probably blown it now! ) Ireland v Scotland earlier could well provide a more "entertaining" game for the neutrals though. Nothing at stake, apart from national pride,

The one here has quite a long history with a good quality salad bar. Other items are maybe not so well thought of. Proper salad bars are not a big feature in Pattaya eateries, more of a top end hotel thing, despite serving just about everything with a carved up bit of cucumber, and a couple of lettuce leaves!

I am not sure whether you speak in jest there or not, but with it's location; You could well be right! -
I quite agree, and apologise for protracting it out. I should have said my piece, and left it at that. "Fatboyfat has left this building" but I'm sure the giant ego will continue to "entertain"! Edit; Just sorting out some grammar.

Honey Lodge Hotel: still open?
Fatboyfat replied to SlipSlopSlap's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I see you have sorted this out now, but I did pop in there yesterday, when passing to check for you, and all seemed to be running as normal. -
Have just finished watching Leicester beat Newcastle, (touch of insommnia!), and I really think they are going to do it now. City basically blew their game in hand, and the traditional Arsenal implosion, around this time of year, is almost complete now too. Tottenham look the only threat really, and I don't think that they will gain that much ground. Whichever of those two win it, our tipping prowess as a whole forum, is piss poor, going on the Votes at the beginning of the thread. Actually, I wanted to vote for Leicester, but the option wasn't there

Pattaya has been "crying out" for some of those since the Eighties. Obviously nobody will cough up the money. They had one planned across Sai 2 when the first Big C was being built, and 2-3 bars were to go from the old Soi 2 complex to facillitate it, but it never materialized. Especially if they hit a pedestrian! Works in Oman! Would thin the population out extensively in Thailand! -
And you thought Pattaya lacked 'culture'?
Fatboyfat replied to galt67's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Did anyone actually go to this show? Our friend, who is complaining about the noise in Sandy Spring, did, and by all accounts thoroughly enjoyed it. That is more than can be said for the girl, that my missus set up for him, and whom accompanied him. Apparently my friend is "The Tingest of all Tong" farang, and she is demanding compensation from my missus! I have seen him in the bar, when some classical type stuff gets played, and he is one of those "air guitar" types, only with an "air conductor's baton" and very animated about it. I am not anticipating a lasting relationship there! -
WTF are you on about you arrogant pratt? You posted a "final question" and I posted a final retort, to stop the thread turning into the boring "he said, you said back in 1987" type of crap that you revel in. Surprise, surprise the giant ego "that never posts anything that isn't true" does just that yet again, and continues its attempt to justify what I consider a sly and underhand act, in particular from someone who boasts about pallying up to the managers of nearly every other establishment that he visits. Now, as well has having some mystery personna on another board; I am in cahoots with a
