How to make a donation for the boards server fund

I am of the same opinion, but maybe there is no choice as I believe Invision no longer support this version. -
The future of Pattayatalk - An open discussion

Thanks for your frankness, Frosty. Before FLB closed, effectively, FLB paid for PT as it was a promotion for the business. (If I have that wrong, please correct me.) Would an option be to link the board to another business? I suppose it would have to be a bar but the forum could entice people to the bar for, say, monthly get-togethers. P.S. PL is NOT a good example of how that would work!! But there are factors at play there which stop it happening. -
Thanks for the explanation. I've always thought gyms were alien places. Now I know they speak a different language there, my thought is compounded. Out of interest, is this US, Thai, or universal gym parlance?

Perhaps I'm being thick but I don't understand the title to this thread.

Any suggestions for long term stay
Bazle replied to streeteats's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Diana Estate off Soi Buakhao would be a good option. However, it is an older development so the quality of the units varies. Make sure that you get a good one through a reputable agency and you should be well fixed up. -
Funny you should say that! (assuming you mean a re-organisation of the ownership structure)

I hope to be around from 11 July. I'd be happy to meet for a beer at that time if you still wish. However, 9 days into your stay, I'm sure you'll have discovered a lot of new friends. -
Cobra Gold 2018 (updated Jan. 17, 2018)

I'm perplexed about the nature of an exercise that can include the US and China! "..... , it would be good for international relations, but an excessive number of participants could put a strain on the drill Pattaya, the supreme commander said." -
Good feedback when it first opened but I think they have subsequently increased the prices. As you will realise, a very convenient location. The Neta Hotel opposite seems to cater to bulk tourists.

I couldn't resist but wish I had done! Haven't managed it yet but have discovered that technique plays a big part. I'm hoping that practice makes perfect! -

Best wishes for a successful trip.

I arrived at Swampy last Thursday (7 Dec) at 15:45. Having read the OP, I was a bit concerned about what awaited me. After a very long walk to the main arrivals area (the one with the ramp), I found it was very full and there was a lady holding a sign telling us to go to the next area, which a sign said was (I think) 150 metres away. When I got there, it was easy peasy. Through in less than 5 minutes.

Christmas Dinner Options 2017 (updated Dec. 21)
Bazle replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Good! I'm not the only one who is not a fan of the traditional English Xmas fayre. I really do not understand all the excitement about it. -
Yes, I agree. Some day I'm going to win the booby prize. I'm due to arrive on Thursday, and I'm just hoping it's not then.
-
I often walk by but have never stayed there. Many coach loads of Asian (both South and East) arrive there. Access to both Soi Buakhao and Second Road is very easy for pedestrians. To Second Road involves walking through Avenue shopping Mall.

I sent an email to EVA asking how I could find out about the configuration ahead of booking. They replied by telephoning me a short while ago. In short, there isn't, unless I telephone and ask them. They (the London office) have the information but it is not put into the public domain. They suggested I give them a call once I had flights in mind. From my conversation, I got the impression that the usual configuration is 3-3-3 and that 3-4-3 is just experimentation at this stage. I told them I found the 3-4-3 configuration horrific and wouldn't fly with them if I knew that I was going to have to endure that. I hope she feeds the comment back to whoever is in charge of the experiment!

When I walk through Prem to get to cattle class, I'm often aware of a lot of young children. Do others notice this?

That's not something I have any knowledge of but it is not logical to me. You are not checking-in, and the site is there to do things other than that - choosing seats being one of them. Unfortunately, the website seems to be structured in a way that, to get to do those things, you have to go down the path that is for doing on-line check-in. Maybe you could provide EVA with some feedback on that.
-
On the EVA site, go to "Managing your trip" > "Print boarding pass / Check-in confirmation" > "View" > "Seat change"
-
I have a few more flights already booked on EVA, and they are a mixture of the old and the new configuration. I would book more journeys if I could be certain of getting the old configuration. I'm hoping there's some way of finding out what the configuration is before making the booking.
-
EVA seem to be using a mix of the old 3-3-3 and the new 3-4-3 configuration. (Anyone know how to see which is going to be used on flights I might consider booking?) I've now experienced 3-4-3 twice. The first time wasn't too bad as I had an aisle seat and no-one in the adjacent seat. The second time was horrific. I had a large-ish Chinese guy sat beside me, and his right shoulder overlapped my seat space. I don't think it would have been much different with an average-sized Westerner. Your friend's comment about the toilets is correct.
