Thanks, MM. Always useful to know where to get a good steak. I have mostly been disappointed in my quest in the last year. Just to be clear, you are referring to the "new" place in Soi Honey, aren't you (i.e. not the one in Lengkee)? What you had was on "special" but do they have anything similar on the regular menu, perhaps at a higher price?

This is on the notice board in Block A, although none of the units mentioned are situated there. Shame there is no mention of price; maybe that means it is negotiable. There is a 'phone number given so I hope you can give the owner a call to find out.

I think that is more than you'd have to pay if renting directly from an owner (or through an outside agent). You could: * do a Google search to see if any agents have any units on their books (a very quick search came up with this - http://www.thailand-property.com/1-bedroom-condo-for-rent-in-central-pattaya-pattaya_544550),or * get back to the City Garden office, offer them what you want to pay, and ask that the offer be conveyed to the owner. It could be that the City Garden office is just handling units still owned by the developer (i.e. unsold units) and they want to maintain a price level. However, that would surprise me a little as it would mean the developer had fitted out the units. If 23 August is not too late for you, I could take a look on the notice boards and see if any rentals that fit your requirements are listed there.

I think this is a bit harsh. Many dishes are varied from the original but still referred to just the same as the original. Take a look at a Google search for Eggs Benedict and you'll see countless variations, just as with many other dishes.

I don't like Harbour Mall and there's no reason for me to go there a second time. Maybe it will survive because of the kids' theme park place on the top floor - dump the kids and do the shopping, and the kids will nag to go there again.

We are at totally different ends of the food spectrum! I hate cheese and find the smell of it nauseating. I walked into The Bistro once and had to walk right out again as the smell of cheese in that small place was overwhelming.

Are you positive about that? Are you thinking of the one that was on the corner of Klang and Second Road? I understand that there is a Tops at the bottom of the Markland condos, on Beach Road - Soi 1.

In the UK, many pubs, restaurants, coffee shops etc. provide free WiFi via The Cloud (http://www.thecloud.net/). I discovered today that PT is regarded by The Cloud as pornographic and it has prevented access. It's interesting that Addicts, Chat, Live, ThaiVisa are all accessible. That leaves Talk in the dubious company of Pattaya Ladyboys, which also appears to be blocked! :)

I understand that you can cut out the middle man and deal directly with xxxx Immigration Office, if you happen to make contact with the "right" IO there. They have a link with a branch of Kasikorn, and the only inconvenience is that you have to go along to that branch to open your account there.

The land immediately to the south of VT6 (the WS side) is in the process of being developed. It was very noisy there September/October time as they commenced the work. Work was done for a few weeks and then stopped. From what I've read, it will re-start around January time. I would suggest asking the rental agent what the status of the work will be when you plan to stay there, or book on the Hilton side. If on the Hilton side, make sure you are on a high floor because the lower floors suffer noise from the AC for Central Shopping Mall. Anywhere you stay in VT6 will potentially suffer from building noise coming from the inside. Not all the units have been fully constructed, and others get reconfigured. But that will just be the luck of the draw.

Still open, which is surprising as it gets very little custom. I fear it won't escape the poor reputation it built up in its previous incarnation in what appears to be the same ownership.
