I have been on thai several times between hkg and bkk or nrt and bkk when using star alliance ff miles. the flight would have sucked had it not been for the fact that every time i have been on thai there were lots of empty seats so it was always possible to either have no one siting next to me or to move to a seat with empty seats next to me. otherwise thai would be the same as typical cattle class in united, ingapore etc. service about the same as united just better looking FA. all my friend fly eva delux. they say it is a nice wide seat.

instead of grace try europark hotel soi 1 1000 baht and much better atmosphere unless you want the bowling aley etc.

john, you missed it. in the morning there is a free buffet. eggs cooked to order, smoked salmon, bacon, sausage, waffles, every type of fruit you can imagine, coffee, tea, oj on and on makes nana hotel buffet look sick.

I have stayed twice. They never charged me a joiner fee, in fact they were extremely girl friendly, both times I booked thru directrooms.com. The buffet in the morning is good. Hotel is just down the street from gullivers where you can find some pretty good talent. Hotel lobby got a remodel sometime between 2001 (first time I stayed there) and 2004 (2nd time I stayed.) Gym equipmeny is okay for a hotel. Pool not bad. Easy walk to nana, soi 7, skytrain.

I have noticed that the monthly prices are all over the place. some hotels charge ask for between 15-20 days rate paid in advance. others give almost no discount at all. If you truly want a month why not go for one of the montly places. They seem to have better prices.

I just booked my november trip with united. It is $811 including all taxes leaving on a friday returning on a thursday. I will earn 39,600 miles on the trip and i will be in premier seating becuase I am a premier executive. since this is my third flight this year I will be over 50k miles for the year and a premier exec next year. almost all of the mainstream hotels charge extra for christmas and new years. In koh samui some of the hotels charge 3 times their normal rate. BigD is the source for the cheap places to stay.

samosonite, I think that you experience is some miscommunication that can happen at any hotel. The suite is quite large and if you compare their beds to other hotels I think you would have to say they are comfortable. For 2500 baht a night what level of quality did you expect the furniture to be. I think you will find that sandy's furniture is better that residence gardens and not as good as marriot. I have been checking the rates and united is flying sfo 2 bkk for $700 to $800 for september and october. Fro november the fares are $1200

Hey, My wife has stayed with me at nana and didin't complain. We now stay at either majestic grande( i have coupons for 2k baht) or euro park(soi 1) 1k baht a night. But she really did NOT like flipper in pattaya. If you think nana is a dump what do you call flipper?

Carlsburg told me the wifi worked well. As for joiner fees when I had multipe ladies I stopped by the desk and asked for extra towels and pillows. They told me there would be a fee for the extra towels but I was never charged. I always had great service at RG. The beds are just too hard for me.

Nana has foam mattresses. Very comfortable, especially when compared to alot of other hotels in LOS. In addition the have a headboard that is padded. If you like to sit up in bed and watch Telly then you will find the bed very comfortable. The rooms are not that bad. Personally I don't think dynasty in BKK is much better and nana has a great breakfast. it is a buffet and it is one of the few place in thailand where they cook bacon properly. you don't want bayview. If you are going to take a siam hotel take siam bayshore. It is in a great location and is a great property. I don't know if they are BG friendly or not. I have stayed at siam city in BKK and they are extremely Bg unfriendly. Same people own siam bayshore and siam bayview so I would guess not freindly for BG. BTW if you are looking in that class the travel agent may suggest montien. Very nice hotel property but They are definately guest unfriendly. They were real shits to me when I went there with regular TGF. she was walking with me and they grabbed me by the arm.
