Can I suggest that you take the following steps: 1. Research the Internet for companies that are working within your areas of expertise for vacancies. 2. Check the major recruitment consultancies for vacancies and remember that this should be a free service to the candidate. 3. Always try first for international (Western) companies as they have the expertise with immigration procedures and understand the needs of expats. 4. It is now possible to interview on Skype etc but if possible obtain a number of contacts, set up meetings and visit them whilst in the country. 5. Create a quality CV.Have available at all times including scans of degrees, diplomas etc. Keep available on the Internet, as a hard copy and on a memory stick. 6. Try to locate a recruitment consultant who works in the area that you are interested in. If they perceive that you have value they will look for roles for you. Always let someone else do the work espescially if they have more contacts and expertise that you have. 7. No international company will advertise a vacancy without them having done the homework regarding the relevant legislation regarding the obtaining of visas, competetive salary structures, expat packages and a whole raft of other items. Many larger organisationss have their own in-house recruitment people but they often sub contract to international recruiters. 8. Finally, except in certain key industries do not expect to get rich quick ( a lot of people get dismayed because they are basing their expectations on the key skills areas that they have read and heard about). Like every other employer they are trying to get a job done at the best price and many of the positions are time based and they will get rid of you the minute that your part of the contract ends. For many people having an expat position can look good on the CV but is just as often a change of environment and pace and an opportunity to enjoy the country.

Like I said as you know everything about everything there is nothing to add.

Talking out your arse as usual. I have been an international recruitment consultant and realise that there is always a way around the acts of individual countries. As I said, neither you or I have any idea what the mans quals are however I would remind you that Asia is full of expat people who have specific skills that are wanted, accepted and indeed needed in developing countries. Just because there are laws to stop people from working in specific markets there are also a great need for some skills. I dont need to read the acts pertaining to immigration to get a role. That is the job of the employer! Why the fuck would I want to read it? I think you only respond because your bored rather than having something appropiate to say. Incidentally the free accommodation and food issue is a trade off in some markets for lower salary package, but then again you probably knew that as you seem to know everything about everything and enjoy putting anyone else down who dares have an opinion. Dream on and keep wasting your time trying to introduce new threads into existing ones because you lack the ability to start them.

I didnt realise that the OP had stated his qualifacations but perhaps you know more that the rest of us.

Haave run into someone in the hospitality industry. This at least usually provides you with accommodation and food as well as using any language skills that you might have.

I recall that the rate to Bangkok was 2000 bht and think that 3000 would do. Suggest that you email Mr T and ask. There are dozens of mini vans going each day to the Bridge over the River Kwai trips. Any travel agent will update you on these.

Green Hotel Soi 9 Pattaya
teelack replied to darkmancomes's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I have a feeling that they chage/charged a joiner fee. Needs checking. -
Following the bulk of the 130 posts I would have to say that this topic wins the prize for the "Most Innapropriate Title".

Do you spend many nights alone in Pattaya?
teelack replied to Butch's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
OK you like to sleep alone but in fairness you can do what you want to do next day even if they sleep with you till you get up. I have never had a problem saying to a girl that it was time to go whatever tim of day and having one stay over has never made it difficult to do what I want the next day. I dont on the other hand like getting up, getting dressed and trotting down to the receptoion at 2.30. -

Thanks for the info Chris. I wish I had a dollar for every time I had passed this bar but I hate to say I have never been through the door. Tell us a bit more please. Do you have food? Are there any ladies present? -

Android Apps-whats essential?

Thanks guys, I will have a look at some of these. Is there a simple app for translating English / Thai that is recommended? -
Thanks. Love em both.

Father Christmas bought me an Android phone for being a good boy this year. I was wondering what BM's consider the essential apps to down load? In addition to the essentials I would also like to download anything that is good for we regular Pattaya visitors. As a matter of interest I have only downloaded two so far, these being Missed Call because I need reminding if I miss a call and I paid for Swiftkey 3 which was worth the money.

Pattaya: what is the best street to stay?
teelack replied to TheHunter's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
This area is on the upgrade and IMHO needs consideration. The Sabai pools are excellent and there is always a seat and cover. The walk to Beach Road is simple and the fact that Big C is also 5 minutes away is great as well. Early last month they started to reopen the bars opposite the Big C that had been gutted and there are some good new ones heading back into town on Second Road. To the left of Big C are a row of shops where there are a lot of services available such as haircut, photography, sauna/massage, and so forth. Its handy for Drinking Street and the night market up towards the roundabout. I often walk into the PBG from Soi 2 via Beach Road and its a great walk with lots to see and some good stop offs if you are so inclined. Its a while since I have been there but some people swear by the bars in Soi 3 and they seem to do OK business. All in all the North side of town need to nbe considered. -

Maybe the RIP in thread title was meant to be Reputation Is Perfect?

Interesting but nearly all reasonably close up. I would like to see some across the bay and sunset as well.

Thanks but it was almost a video blonde joke

Bieng fired because your attractive. Good job that this does not happen in Pattaya! This story seems to have got world wide coverage and possibly proves thta the "Law is an ass".

If your looking for a night out perhaps look for a place near thier version of Walking Street. Its a fun place with bars and retaurants. I had a good meal and some girlie fun as well.

As a consumer that goes there most days when in Pattaya I would make the following comments: Pete is not often there and as I have previously mentioned see the duty manager who I suggested was Ae who will get things sorted. I went for breakfast twice last month because they are willing to change what I get on my plate. Some things I ask to remove and others to replace. No problems either time. Always heaps to read there and a guarateed seat by the sea so its great for a breakfast on your own. I introduced a Thai lady to the place last month. After I left she had a day off and ended up taking her own daughter there for a meal. Some Thai's do like the food. Finally, I too have had the odd below standard meal there but no place has tried more to serve consistent food at a fair price IMHO and have free of bar fine girls to add to the attraction.

LOL............shes going to be a mess when the pumpkin returns at midnight!

Breakfast I am not sure about but in the evening ask for Ae who is brilliant at getting things done, She is one of the ladies with the three stripes on their jackets.
