Father Christmas bought me an Android phone for being a good boy this year. I was wondering what BM's consider the essential apps to down load? In addition to the essentials I would also like to download anything that is good for we regular Pattaya visitors. As a matter of interest I have only downloaded two so far, these being Missed Call because I need reminding if I miss a call and I paid for Swiftkey 3 which was worth the money.

This area is on the upgrade and IMHO needs consideration. The Sabai pools are excellent and there is always a seat and cover. The walk to Beach Road is simple and the fact that Big C is also 5 minutes away is great as well. Early last month they started to reopen the bars opposite the Big C that had been gutted and there are some good new ones heading back into town on Second Road. To the left of Big C are a row of shops where there are a lot of services available such as haircut, photography, sauna/massage, and so forth. Its handy for Drinking Street and the night market up towards the roundabout. I often walk into the PBG from Soi 2 via Beach Road and its a great walk with lots to see and some good stop offs if you are so inclined. Its a while since I have been there but some people swear by the bars in Soi 3 and they seem to do OK business. All in all the North side of town need to nbe considered.

If your looking for a night out perhaps look for a place near thier version of Walking Street. Its a fun place with bars and retaurants. I had a good meal and some girlie fun as well.

As a consumer that goes there most days when in Pattaya I would make the following comments: Pete is not often there and as I have previously mentioned see the duty manager who I suggested was Ae who will get things sorted. I went for breakfast twice last month because they are willing to change what I get on my plate. Some things I ask to remove and others to replace. No problems either time. Always heaps to read there and a guarateed seat by the sea so its great for a breakfast on your own. I introduced a Thai lady to the place last month. After I left she had a day off and ended up taking her own daughter there for a meal. Some Thai's do like the food. Finally, I too have had the odd below standard meal there but no place has tried more to serve consistent food at a fair price IMHO and have free of bar fine girls to add to the attraction.

Breakfast I am not sure about but in the evening ask for Ae who is brilliant at getting things done, She is one of the ladies with the three stripes on their jackets.

Sorry I cannot give you the name but there is a well known place there which is a floating hotel on the river. I stayed there is a really good hotel about 10 minutes from the main street but cannot recall the name. I went on a package deal through a Pattaya travel agent and perhaps you might like to call in to any of the hundreds there and ask.

Some while ago I was doing time as a DJ compiling a weekly classical slot and was asked to do something more middle of the road as well. Giving the matter some thought I did a series called 'Take Five' and started and finished with some classic Brubeck. His off the wall sounds were endlessly fascinating and a short while ago I found that the programmes has been resurected so I still get to listen to Brubeck on radio on a regular basis.

One lesson that I have learned is not to use the twin sim facility in my phone. Initially I thought this a great idea and then I came to realise that I would lose both my Pattaya phone and my home phone. To be honest I never lock my phone up in my room and use the alarm function quite a lot. I leave my home phone on in the safe just in case there is an emergency call and I check it daily.

In the end I wrote back to where I prefer to stay and got 100 baht a night reduction and this was for an actual room number that I have stayed in some times previously. At least thats something.

Dont know the legality but as for price for smaller quantities I believe these to be about right. Kamagra gel.1 @ 80 baht and 50 @ 1500 baht/1800 baht. Kamagra pills. Pack of 4-250 baht and 5 packs for 1000 baht. Needless to say the better you negotiate the better the price. Available almost anywhere that tourists are likely to be.

Your comment re Emirates. I have never flown with them but I get the feeling that the hype leads people to expect more than they actually get when they fly with them. This is not the case with Singapore as I have never heard a bad word against them.

I had read somewhere that it was 500 baht a day fine but does it affect your next request for a visa? You are afterall on record as an overstayer.
