When I am in Pattaya I do go and look at places mentioned here and I will certainly add this one to the list. I note that someone reckons that the bar noise goes on till 1.am or so. As I am never in bed that early this will not be an issue at all.

I would be interested to hear more about this option (sorry to thread fuck)

Thanks for the review. I was suprised to read that there is no pool. Nothing would get me into the sea at Pattaya so have to say that the place is off my list of potentials.

Thanks for the techo stuff and for the continuing photos. They are so clear I wonder if anyone has looked and said, "Fuck! She said she was staying home!".

Really enjoyed the photos to date. That is a great camera for night work and puts mine to shame. Can you share some tech details please? One thing that is noticable is that the Thai girls seem to be getting bigger in the leg department.

The Book is finally published in Thailand!
teelack replied to paultain's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Thanks for reminding me about this book. I am in the Canterbury Tales looking and swapping books weekly when in Pattaya and I had totally forgotten this one. His TR of about 18 months ago was one of the best reads here ever. -
Cherry Bar Party - 8th August - "7th Year Anniversary"

Best wishes to you and all the ladies Adam. Counting down has commenced till October! -
I was in Pattaya last month and stayed in Soi 2. The site at the top where I believe the next Sabai is going was still below ground and the concrete pour for the foundations was still happening. On this basis I think that its fair to say that there will be construction till at least the end of the year.

Babydolls.........We have a new manager.
teelack replied to sinkorswim's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
We (the tourist and two week millionaires) can never have enough good managers in Pattaya. Its always my number one gripe and as long as you stay there you make the town just that much better, then I dont care where you work. Best wishes for a great future.- 12 replies

If it helps. Last time I was im Pattaya for Buddha Day I went up to Naklua. Sure, there are places closed but there are also a lot open and in one case I had a problem even getting a seat in a bar. No issue withe restaurants either.

Go on and give it "The glass is half full" treatment. I bet there are still thousands of women out there. I bet some of the places such as Baccara are pumping and I would also bet that you wont get a seat in Insomnia, Marine or Lucifers around midnight. You will however get your meal in good time at the PBG and the girls will be so pleased to see you on bar crawls and places such as Ban Chang. The cost of accommodation will be half or two thirds of the cost that it is in high season and you will have no problems getting a relaxer round the pool. The baht bus into town will take a lot less time and Beach Road will be pumping. For me all of the above is a bonus and I pay less and get hassled less for it. Now thats the half full theory.

MY WIFE HAD A NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE ON SUNDAY. SILLY COW THOUGHT SHE COULD DO THE VACUUMING WHILE THE FOOTY WAS ON. JUST BOUGHT THE WIFE SOME CROTCH-LESS KNICKERS FOR HALLOWEEN. NOTHING SEXUAL. JUST GIVES HER A MUCH BETTER GRIP ON HER BROOMSTICK. MY MATE ALWAYS CRIES AFTER SEX. MIND YOU HE IS IN PRISON. I TREATED THE WIFE TO ONE OF THOSE FISH PEDICURES THE OTHER DAY. I MUST SAY I'M VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. THOSE PIRANHAS DON'T STUFF ABOUT EH!! HUMPED MY BEST MATES WIFE LAST NIGHT AND TODAY I FEEL AWFUL......... SHE MUST HAVE HAD THE FLU OR SOMETHING. AT THE 2012 OLYMPICS THE 100m FINAL WILL BE LIKE ANY OTHER FRIDAY NIGHT IN LONDON. IN THE 100 METRES FINAL YOU WILL HEAR A GUN SHOT FOLLOWED BY EIGHT BLACKS LEGGING IT! A COP STOPPED A PAKI IN A TRANSIT VAN ON THE MOTORWAY. COP SAYS YOU DO KNOW THE LIMIT IS 70 DONT YOU. PAKI LOOKS IN THE BACK AND SHOUTS "HEAR THAT. TWO OF YOU WILL HAVE TO GET OUT!! CHEMISTS REPORTED THAT AFTER THE RIOTS AND LOOTING IN LONDON THE ONLY THING LEFT ON THE SHELVES WAS FAKE TAN. THE BRITISH GOVERMENT HAS REACTED TO WORLDWIDE RIOTING BY SENDING RESCUE VEHICLES TO EVACUATE THE BRITISH CITIZENS. THEY SENT 3 SHIPS TO LIBYA , 2 PLANES TO SOMALIA AND A TAXI TO BIRMINGHAM

Long way to travel to picture a dead hen or pig but I guess that there are lovers of all sorts on this site.

This is the first time and I have used them quite a lot. I was leaving Pattaya two weeks ago and had ordered a Bell pick up on line. They send you a confirmation so at least I was aware that the issue was theirs and not mine. I was there 30 minutes ahead of stated pick up time. When they didnt arrive 30 minutes after the stated time I simply ordered a cab and in 5 minutes it was there. When I got to Swampy I went to the Bell counter and filled out a complaint form and lo and behold I got a response yesterday. Here its is: Dear Mr.**********, I am deeply sorry for what happened to you and it was our fault. We have investigated and found that our driver was late from the first customer so he arrived at your hotel by 15.06. It was not acceptable and we would like to apologize to you can we offer you a round trip complimentary between the airport and pattaya, for your next trip? Please accept our apologies. Best regards, Bell Travel Service I have thanked them for having the courtesy of a response. The only reason that I mention this is to remind you that it can happen and that you need at least 1000 baht in your pocket to ensure that you get to the airport if it does. I will still continue to use Bells as anyone can mess up but few are willing to appologise for it.

I would have no issue walking up Soi Diana any time of the day or night. Its well populated and has lots of light. The same can not be said for the soi.s leading from Central Road to Beach Road, other than perhaps Soi 6.
-
I have not stayed there but here is the reason. I usually get back to the room sometime the next day. In reality unless you get a cab you have to get off the baht bus and walk the full length of Soi 3 at some ungodly hour. I have just never felt it was a safe option and this is one of the reasons that I dont stay at places on Beach Road. I have no issues walking down these soi's say up to midnight. As a matter of interest I was in Soi 2 last trip (Sabai) and there seems to be a resident lady boy who has set up business in the darker spots. Not good IMHO.

The new outgoing system is still a bit Micky Mouse IMHO. You go up a floor and then come down again to the original floor. The system has been inverted in that its security first and then passport control. The security was pedantic and for instance the hand held beeper kept on going off and all I had in my pocket was some bank notes. Go figure! Seems that you may as well get there and just go through because everyone was taking off shoes, belts, jackets and getting lap tops out so it could at times be a lengthy procedure. Coming in by comparison was a breeze.

Interesting to note that the guts of this topic has been the food and the ambience of the place. I think that when it opened the expectation was that it was going to be a top pick-up joint but it has never seemed to reach that status. There are always girls there and some quite fair but I was interested to note that every seat at the small bar was taken up the other night by girls only. No guys just simply a bunch of girls having a good natter in decent surroundings and not giving a hoot about the men. This place has IMHO worked really well but not perhaps in the way it was originally planned. This is no criticism, only my opinion but perhaps others have another view on the place?

By the way some bars and restaurants charge for the stuff I believe it must all be from France or Switzerland!

It is a much talked about subject and I sure as hell would like to know thee REAL story.I think that it sent out warning signals to many but I am sure that there is something individual about this rather than a general policy.
