For 500 bht a night you get what you pay for,and nothing more! Many staff of far higher priced Hotels also have this same attitude,and in many cases it is due to the constant often undeserved remarks made to them by us mongers! Personally I couldn't care less,if there pleasant then so am I,if not simply ignore them,so easy really!

From their postings I believe they mean that you should lock everything of value away in the safe,not that they can get inside it! However as "Egget" said hardly the type of behaviour expected at those prices! Have not heard of same " tea-leafs" acting at other of their sister locations! If it was me I would immediately cross it off my list particulary as the management appear to be turning a blind eye! Regarding the bhat-bus this is a problem that effects ALL passengers boarding anywhere along Soi Buckhao and is really a very minor inconvience.

Secrets have one located somewhere in the "Outback" however vastly overated and overpriced! Go to the trip section and bring up Mr Pimp's report of his stay in a private villa c/w private pool.Looks great however once again very expensive,from recollection around US$125 a night!

Long way out,up near to the Royal Cliff and Asia Hotels,certainly is family orientated so odds on a "Joiner Fee"! Private taxi to downtown is 150-200 bht or walk down to the stand and get a shared one for 50 bht! Nightly rate for superior room is 1550 bht reducing to 1320 if joining their club for 390 bht.Monthly rate is 33,000 bht incl 1 breakfast. This is in reply to my E-mail recieved just 3 days ago. Not for me!!

Looks nice however scant information on their almost non-existent web-site! However they do manage to inform us that FULL PRE PAYMENT is required which would turn me off immediately!

Normally I'd agree with you but if it's there and available,why not,same comfort level,safer,more scenery friendly and last but not least cheaper! Cannot for the life of me understand why service not extended into the early morning hours as plenty of tourists arrive then!

I have both owned and managed bars albeit not in LOS but the P.I. I found the only way unfortunately is to delegate the day to day problems that DO occur to the MAMASAN,for without a good one or alternatively a good female partner then you indeed start well behind the 8 ball! Would really like to know the true meaning about words like "Designer" and "Boutique" which have slowly crept into the descriptions of Pattaya hotels of late! As far as I can see simply another adjective in order to gouge even higher more money out of our pockets at a time when Pattaya is absolutely awash with vacant rooms!

No Monthly rates offered at the moment,but suspect that might change when faced with low season empty rooms!

A friend of mine telephoned his agent enquiring about TG direct flights to Bangkok,prices etc,and he was quoted a fare however the agent then remarked something about a further NZ$100 reduction if he was buying either land or a residence whilst over there! Never heard of it before,has anybody here got any news on this? BTW some excellent prices for Kiwis flying TG now available on expedia.co.nz

I too saw that sign and enquired at reception if I could view one of these cheap rooms,only to be told that they only had 5 at this rate and all were occupied.Was told the prices at a monthly rate of rest and from what I recall they appeared to be more than fairly priced,however did not view any. I sent an E-mail 4 weeks ago with further enquiries for next trip,no reply!

One has to admire blind faith,believe it if and when it actually happens! Until then simply ignore everything these so called "Experts" try to forecast, reason being of course nothing moves before ALL palms are well and truly greased! Rumours have been circulating regarding the old Clark base for many years including the closure of NIAI and replacing it with Clark,to re-opening it as a base for the P.I. Air-force,both pie in the sky dreams,but nevertheless said to be at the time merely a few months away! Chances are in 5 years the same statements will still be around!
