  1. You have to be careful with Air China. Many times the cheapest rates won't be available for the dates a traveler is likely to want and when they are, they involve long, long stopovers in Beijing. I'm not saying it's impossible to grab a $762 r/t flight, but you'll be very lucky if the flight time is under 30 hours in one direction or the other. Evil
  2. Concur 100%. I had a great time with Nong in November. Anybody who thinks the GFE no longer exists hasn't met Nong and the other hostesses at FLB. Evil
  3. If you want a reasonably priced hotel that isn't aimed only at mongers but is guest friendly, the LK Royal Suites on Soi Bukhao have jacuzzis in some rooms. It also has a great swimming pool. Evil :
  4. I'll use her service on my next trip to Pattaya. Evil
  5. Bullseye! But it is an extremely low-paid gig from what I hear. And of late, not much job satisfaction. Evil
  6. Yup. "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" -Matthew 7:15-16 Does anyone know what this Marvel comic book character does for a living? Evil
  7. I've always wondered about how many posters are truthful about being moderators on other boards. Evil
  8. The Longest Yard (aka The Mean Machine) Evil
  9. Whoops, sorry. Had an incorrect link but fixed it now. Yes, it is a program for entry into the U.S. It covers about 20 U.S. airports right now, but is expected to expand to all U.S. ports of entry. In the future, citizens of other countries will be eligible to participate in the program, but only for entry to the U.S. Evil
  10. I became a member of the Global Entry program in March and have since made four trips outside the U.S. - two to Canada, one to Europe and one to Thailand. Each time I re-entered the U.S. at Kennedy or Newark airports, it took me five minutes max to clear Immigration and Customs. That compares to anywhere between 30 and 90 minutes in the past. The biggest advantage is that you can skip the line to Immigration control and use a kiosk that automatically scans your passport, takes your photo and reads your fingerprints. That takes less than a minute. The kiosk then prints a "ticket" that you hand over to the CBP agent as you exit the customs area. Because all program members have been vetted as low-risk, "trusted" travelers, there's very little chance you'll ever be called over for a Customs' check, much less a "secondary examination." This is the perfect solution for travelers who've had a hassle with Customs' checks in the past, assuming you haven't really done anything that would qualify you as a legit security risk. You can read more about the program here: Global Entry . It only costs $100 for the firrst five years. Evil
  11. If I ever make a mistake about you being a cheat, fraud and liar, I will admit it. But so far my track record of calling your bluffs is 100%. Evil
  12. Just giving you enough rope - you always hang yourself. At least you will never get piles or hemorrhoids - you are a perfect asshole. MM- maybe this thread is a candidate for the Silly Section? Evil
  13. It means the poster is directing the reader's attention to an outside site, nothing more, nothing less. It has zero to do with the authorship of the post. But here's a suggestion: At the top of you posts, copy and paste this sentence: "I didn't write the following, but found it on this site [and give the link]." No need to thank me. It's my pleasure to help you develop into a more honest person and a better member of the Pattaya boards. I thought it was Mephisto aka Sybarite/Arno/cousin/Myrhh/Upharsin/IMHO/ et al who had helped you clean up your English to the degree it was understandable but still obviously written by a non-native speaker. He's done that many times before. I can post a picture of him if you've forgotten what he looks like. Evil
  14. It's clear from Gabor's reply on the Secrets' board that the post about a bar with Polish girls was intended as a wind-up. Actually, that could be said about all of Gabor's posts. Evil
  15. Hmm. Four requests for further information and no answer. Can anyone shed any light on this bar's exisstence (or as I suspect) non-existence? Why would the OP post a bluff that is so easily called? Evil
  16. I would also like to know the location. I have the feeling it's only a figment of someone's imagination. Evil
  17. Your friend could also investigate "round-the-world" fares. Most of the airline alliances have them. I used those fares all the time I worked in China. I would fly Beijing - BKK - Copenhagen (or Amsterdam) - Newark - Tokyo- Beijing, with multi-day stopovers in BKK, Europe and US. Google will reurn a lot of sites with suggestions if you search for "round-the-world" fares. But the cheapest option may be two separate tickets - NYC (JFK or EWR) to BKK and return and then a ticket BKK to Sydney and return. Evil
  18. I doubt you're in Pattaya right now, but if you are, feel free to offer me a shaver. Why not do it in FLB, in front of the Web cam? Just message me and I'll be sure to stop by at a time that is convenient for you. And if you see the guy in the photo below, tell him some people are looking for him. Evil
  19. Delta has some cheap flights to BKK from Detroit and Minneapolis, but they go via Tokyo Narita. Evil
  20. That is not my sole test of 'fun,' otherwise I could jut as well travel to Newark, Detroit, Oakland or several other cities in the U.S., rather than flying half-way around the world. It's the non-stop party environment of Pattaya that attracts me. Evil
  21. Chulalongkorn Day is definitely not a religious holiday and the bars have never been closed on it in the past. Evil
  22. The victims of drunk drivers most certainly did care, even in the good ole days. Evil
  23. My mom always kept her spare change in a big jar. We had always assumed she cashed the change in when the jar got full. after she passed away, we discovered she had been dumping it in an ornamental chest. The change was worth about $1,200. Evil
  24. You'll DEFINITELY have more fun in Pattaya than New York City. Evil
  25. I doubt very much Evel Knievel would have ridden a bike on the streets of Pattaya. He was fanatic about controlling every second and every inch of his stunts. He took huge risks, but never one he regarded as unnecessary or foolish. When Evel wasn't performing or practicing, he didn't ride two-wheeled vehicles. Evil
