The slight delay on A380s programmed for delivery this year is caused by the changeover in production from having to modify the wiring on the early "builds" in the system to the modified wiring builds coming through now. Deliveries will be back on target shortly after the changeover is completed. The 747/8 is a failure as a passenger airliner......... end of story. There has been only 2 747s ordered this year. And those have been ordered by Boeing Business Jets. The plane is a dinosaur. As for the Nightmareliner....... it is now 11 months since it was unveiled to the public on the 8th of July last year..... and still the prototype has not been powered up! Even if they achieve power up shortly, there is a hell of a lot of systems commissioning and proof testing to be done before the Nightmareliner will even be allowed to fly. The 787 shell was rolled out of the factory last july..... and that is all it was - a shell with wheels on. And so far it has taken 11 months to get the shell anywhere near complete so that they can start doing testing. At least Airbus admit reasons for delays..... Boeing have tried to put the blame on everybody else but themselves.

Boeing is trapped in a nightmare as delays on the production of its 787 Dreamliner are causing airlines to raise hell. British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are in talks with The Boeing Co. (nyse: BA - news - people ) over expected delivery delays for the 787 Dreamliner aircraft they ordered in 2007. This is the fourth delay to occur on the aircraft. Virgin Atlantic is in talks with Boeing about compensation for the 15 extended-range 787-9s it originally expected to receive in early 2011, while BA is talking to Boeing about the 24 787s the company expected in the first quarter of 2010. Virgin has expressed interest in another 28 aircraft from Boeing in a deal worth $8 billion. Delays come from a redesign that Boeing is doing to parts of the aircraft. "It is a normal part of the development of a new airplane to discover need for improvements, and that is what we are experiencing on the 787," said Boeing spokeswoman Yvonne Leach. It said in February that it expected to deliver Dreamliners sometime in early 2009. Shares of Boeing were down .5%, or 39 cents, to $75.90 on Tuesday. The Associated Press and Thomson Financial contributed to this article. Looks like the Nightmareliner delays will start hitting Boeing in the pocket.

I got a very good deal on my D200, admittedly a used one but it is in excellent comdition.... and paid less than the cost of a new D80. The market is getting flooded with them as people are upgrading to the D300. I recently bought the Nikon 24-120 VR lens to use as my main lens, going for that lens as I can also use it on my Nikon film camera.

WHAT??? The D40x is at the bottom of Nikons DSLR range - I thought some one like yourslef who always boasts about "stuff" would have been buying a D3! I've just got myself a D200...

The Banana bar is open again....... But I am hating being stuck in the UK at the moment

Banana bar is closing for a few days........ Unfortunately I have to fly back to the UK , and the GF is heading up north on a recruitment trip for some farm-fresh talent, and a chance to see the family. But the bar will be open again before the end of next week, hopefully with some farm fresh cuties

As the night progressed a few of the local barowners visited to check out the new kid on the block and by end of the evening the bell was rung quite a few times A good first night was enjoyed...... And I'll try and get some pics posted soon

It's the last but one bar on the right-hand side walking away from Second Road. Well, I have paid for it! And have spent a little bit of money getting it redecorated and such like. It was the GFs idea to put "British Bar"...... but, yes, everyone is welcome! There might be a little trip report about the adventures of buying a bar, and all the grief that has gone with it. And I am expecting to be called a fool!

There is a new bar opening on Pattaya New Plaza which is situated on Second Road opposite Sois 7 and 8. It's name????? Banana Bar All BMs are welcome to come and take a look, and have a drink of course. The usual selection of beers are available and along with good selection of spirits. It will be opening on 5th March 2008....... unless there is a major catastrophe
