I have a studio condo that has been gutted and fully renovated in Jomtien Beach Condominium. It has a full kitchen with everything in it, a western style bathroom with a stall shower and granite countertop. There is a 29" flatscreen color tv, cable installed, a DSL hookup and Index furniture. Jomtien Beach Condominium is located rite on Beach Rd. and there is 24/7 baht bus and motorbike taxis available. There are 2 huge swimming pools, 8 restaurants, laundries, internet cafes and maid service. My condos are the nicest studios in this complex for rent and I rarely have vacancies. My tenant has bought a condo in the building. Please feel free to call me for a showing. I have rented all my condos to board members and they would all be happy to give a reference if necessary. The place looks very nice.

I haven't looked at prices around the Jomtien area, but that monthy rent seems hight compared to simular place in Pattaaya.

I think for $2.400 US per month you would get a lot more for your money, even in Jomtien, maybe a 2 bedroom, 2 bath at least.

$240 per month if you do your math correctly. I know Eric and I know the condo. I used to rent it before I bought in the same complex. Good value for money and a really nice condo. Eric was very helpful to me when I moved to Thailand so I'm putting in a good word for him.

My mistake,

First looked and thought I saw 85,000, yes 8500 is only and repeat only $240 per month.

Sorry, yes very good price for what you are getting

In my opinion, this is the bargain of the year, from the pics and description. Unless it's next door to the leather works or has a disco one floor down, I think this is terrific value all around.

I see the air con (an absolute necessity in that kind of place) so my only question would be - does that include utilities?

When I lived in that condo I paid electric and water at utility company prices. With aircon on a lot my monthly bills averaged 120 baht for water and 800 baht electric. That was just over a year ago. There was also 1-0 Mbps ADSL internet for which the cost of 738 baht per month was split with the condo next door which Eric also owns. There was a router to facilitate this. Unfortunately I don't know if this facility is still available but no reason to suspect otherwise.

I repeat, this is a good condo, and good value.

There's a whole thread on this.

Basically, the problem with Jomtien is that it is inconvenient from the main Pattaya nightlife.
