What dollar are you using? It's more like $100-110/night.

Looks like a nice place but $100/night for a month, $150/night for two weeks is a bit steep.

$100-110 divided by 2 =$55 per night.

2 folks sharing=$55 per night.

It looks very nice except for that second bedroom which from the photo looks more like a closet with a couple beds stuffed inside.

It would be perfect for your rental to bring her kids from the village though..............

It looks like a very nice place, EXCEPT, for that second bedroom. The guy who gets the master bedroom would be quite happy but the guy who gets the second bedroom will feel like he got screwed.

At 141 square meters, I would have thought that the second bedroom would at least be usable. Whoever designed the floor plan had their head up their ass.

Agreed. There seems to be a huge amount of wasted space which makes the place inviable as a 2-bedroom booking and a bit expensive for a 1-bedroom booking. A bit of a shame as everything else about the place appears to be good.

Seriously, that may have originally been designed as a walk-in closet.

As a bachelor pad for a well to do individual it would be perfect. Actually, for a couple with one or two small children it would probably work also.

For those of you commenting on the floor plan, below is the "bare shell" design you get when you buy a View Talay 7 front corner unit.

VT7_floor_plan.jpg

In my unit the original doorway to the 48 sqm unit has been completely removed, the master bathroom built to full width of the 48 sqm. There is simply not room to build two equal bedrooms. So rather than have two shitty bedrooms, you make a nice master and do the best you can on the second. Bringing the wall that divides the two rooms more forward does not work out. There are some permanent load bearing pillars to contend with, and the balcony access and view must be maintained.

This will actually be my bachelor pad when I retire in a few years. At that time I expect I'll likely convert the second bedroom into more of an office/computer area. The near fish-eye type camera lens that the photo of the second bedroom was taken makes the room appear more narrow than it actually is. Certainly, the room is not large, but it is not a closet.

Thank you all for looking.

Cheers

Sorry, I missed the 'sharing' in your prior post. I actually saw it at the last moment and tried to stop my post but I guess I was too late.

As others have pointed out sharing would be an interesting negotiation.....how much does the guy getting the palatial master suite pay and how much does the guy in the closet pay? Maybe you pay housekeeping to change the sheets daily and trade bedrooms.

I still think the price is very steep for what your getting even though the place is nice. That place should be about $2,000 for a month.

Kitchen layout is terrible, move the oven and hob over to the sink.

Second bedroom is a joke, any wardrobe space? Get rid of that ridiculous bunk bed immediately unless you have a pet Chimpanzee.

Too expensive.

It's in Jomtien.

Get rid of the stupic photos that make the rooms look distorted.

Cable TV ???

Needs a DVD player in Master Bedroom.

Needs TV and DVD in second bedroom if it will fit.

Too expensive.

Apart from that, I'm not interested, thanks :teeth:

I thought your comments were a bit over-the-top papillon. This is the market board, so why attack my ad?

There is a DVD player in both the living room and the master bedroom.

I happen to like my kitchen layout very much.

The unit primarily rents to Norwegian families with children. The second bedroom has a small wardrobe, no TV.

View Talay 7 is directly on the baht bus route. For those choosing a baht bus as transportation it is only 5 to 7 minutes to Walking Street for just 10 baht.

Not attacking your ad, merely commenting on what I'd like to have if I was renting it.

Seems you'll have it fully booked soon so don't worry about what I think

Looks a very nice apartment actually but not ideal to rent out.

cheap charlies need not apply.

For the guy whose going to stay longer then four weeks this apartment looks to be a good value for the Baht. If this was on offer in Pattaya on Beach Rd. I'd seriously consider renting it.

Looks like a nice place, but those prices are a bit much. Couldn't I stay at the Marriott for the same price? And with less hassle?

No the daily rate at the Marriott is higher for a much smaller room.

I was going to comment on the price, high, until I viewed the pics. I have had experience in doing up VT condos and this one looks excellent in my opinion. Certainly quality renting for a family and good value. I wish you success with finding tenants.
