That must be the reason why you still look like a fresh faced young lad, looking half your age. These days I hate it when I look in the mirror in the morning to have a shave. Maybe some of your cosmetics might help a bit. :clueless

Your mate CT is right, you should lay off posting when on the piss.

I still use the dentist you recommended between soi 7 and Klang and have been quite happy.

She just completed the replacement of all my last-century fillings and has put the deposit down on a new Mercedes.

I have had extensive dental work (8 crowns and three tripple bridges) done in Pattaya over the years at a 1/4 of the price it would have cost in Australia. I have never had any problems with any of t

Don't get any implant work done in a foreign country. It takes some time to do it right. Crowns , root canals, filings etc they can all provide here as well. But if you shorten the ossification time

Just to add a bit of info so I can generate some useful information:   I am planning on doing the implant part in March...when I return in Oct for 5 months, I will then have the tooth (crown, whatev

We have been using the same dentist (Napaporn) four the last 10 years since 2004 for our sixth-monthly check-ups and despite of my advanced years I still have all of my original teeth, exept one implant Napaporn did with great skill for about 50 000 THB, I can get cheaper dental work done in Darwin, as I have top cover insurance there with Medibank Private there, but Napaporn is the best there is. We always park our car at the Tops supermarket, when we have appointment with her, and it only a 5 minute walk from there to her clinic between Klang and Soi 7.

I am not certain which clinic you are asking about, as a few have been mentioned in this thread.

Here is the soi 6/1 2nd Rd place.

Dr. Bee report. She speaks good English. Today was a little technical, she cut a bridge to save that crown, then removed the next crown and smoothed the previous one, no pain at all. Tomorrow, she will remove the front crown and wait for the new crowns. Costs; remove crown 1200 baht, new crown 7,000 baht, filling 1000 baht, free exam, complete exrays 700 baht, cleaning 1000 baht. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

She is on Central up from Foodland on the same side, about halfway to Sukhumvit.

I am too new to the forum to post a topic, so hope someone can answer this. Does any dentist in Pattaya use nitrous oxide, or rather, will they (for the patient obviously) while performing procedures on a patient?

Any contact info or advice appreciated.

Then you can pay the ridiculous prices charged in Australia - no worries! I, however, know that many of the highly trained dentists in Thailand were trained in Australia, and that the King contributed a lot of money for this to happen, as he saw that dental health in Thailand was on the decline some years ago. I have never had a bad job done on my teeth in LOS, but HAVE had some in Australia.

Ill trust the dentists i know before an internet forum ;) And as for thinking thailand paid what australia charges for a dental degree with the exchange and everything involved, well that just seems like wishful thinking.

Sometimes you don't have a lot of choice. Even if you are on a two week trip, if you lose a crown or have a tooth collapse on the first day, do you really want to wait two weeks to get dental care?

Yes, the dentists in Australia are certainly scared that patients are going O/S for cheaper treatment. And Thailand can afford to get their dentists trained in the same manner as ours are, and do that.

You need to a little more research. I have had a Thai PhD student as Thai language teacher, the government pays their tuition and they can repay by working in the government system for a number of years. If you do a quick search on TV, there is a recent news thread about a a Thai dentist who did her training at Harvard and has not repaid the government, she is disputing the payment terms rather than the dollars involved.

I broke a tooth the day before I was to fly from Melbourne to Pattaya. I got a quick check up by a dentist and he quoted $1800 for a crown and post. I asked him about getting work done in Thailand and his attitude was that he had seen good and bad work done in Asia, exactly as he had seen good and bad work done in Australia. The crown and post in Pattaya cost me less than $400. You should do some research on 'dental tourists', I didn't know it existed until I starting googling it.

They are advertising on the back of buses in planet Perth, along with cosmetic surgery.
