Recommended Posts

why is this posted on the secret section?

Why is there secret section,? is here a decoder ring and hand shake that goes with it?

This is not posted in the "secret section".

If it were, and you couldn't access it, you couldn't reply now, could you?

The main running story is in the members bar.

The original post was posted twice, and one was removed.

If you are relying on the email digest for the topics to review, then there is a good chance the deleted version was listed in your email, since it might have been sent before the duplicate copy was deleted.

When you try to access that topic, it's not there...that's not secret...that's just NOT THERE.

One of the things I love about Pattaya is the lack of rules and government regulations. One of the things, I hate about Pattaya is the lack of rules and government regulations. People die and others get regularly scammed by the jet ski mob. I weight the good and bad and I still come.

There are plenty of government rules and regulations. It's just that people, for whatever reason, choose to ignore them.

For one reason or another. The local government chooses to ignore regulations. Lack of enforcement is a killer.

Typical......i read the Captain did a runner..TIT or in this case a dam good swimmer.

And the ferry company was insured....300,000 baht for a death.

That's not even enough to send you home in a box.

It's common, the Somchais doing a runner. Happened in the recent speedboat accidents as well.

Simple reason is because they are pissed up on Thai Whiskey. It looks like he fucked up and hit the rocks, and with the speedboat accidents, you have to be some special sort of retard to crash a speedboat when you can see things coming for miles.

There's no money in enforcing a law.

Actually there is when the bad press from a fatal accident such as this starts affecting business.

In the USA none of these ferry boats would pass a license inspection, This has been a disaster waiting to happen and finally has. When I was in the Coast Guard if we boarded a vessel such as these we would have shut them down and jailed the captain. Even the speedboats that run to the island don't have such basic equiptment as a marine compass let alone a GPS.

Yes, but the momentum soon wanes.

Or move on to next issue.

A claim has been made that the ferries were 'neglected' due to the 'focus' on private hire speedboats and jet-skis.
