Pm john5001

He tells me no need to get a minix box and roots his tablet ....

I have bought a minix and it's terrific,

Lanzalad supplied it

Usual garbage. I rooted mine to install extra tools. Minix is good and have generated at least three more sales for lanzalad.

Stick to your expert advice giving re BG Marrying Farang. More your level.

I watched Rin Tin Tin every week as a kid until the Alcoa company took over as the sponsor and changed the name of the show to Rin Aluminum Aluminum.   Evil

Agree......Rinty ....or his stunt double meant business. As for Lassie, I was surprised to learn that all nine were katoys......

I just ran BBC 1 for 30 minutes without it freezing. I did not use a VPN but I do have very quick fibre internet.

I did tell you it was an excellent device,

Many lads here are married to Ex bar girls, no need to be so rude to them.

I have never been married to a Thai girl, so lets get a few facts correct.

Cheers and have a good day :llaugh

Just a memo to MM......

If this thread is anything to go by, we could do with an 'Impossible to derail thread'.....Something that just goes where it will......As long as people keep it reasonably polite....It can roll on and on.

What do you think?

In that case.........last night I was waiting in for someone......And looked for Rin TinTin.......But couldn't find it ......So watched, 'The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel...........What a lovely film!!

They got it shot quickly before the cast pass away. Considering that it was as good as the first with some classic dialogue.

Makes a change from my usual shoot 'em up stuff. Recommend it.

When the Academy Awards began in 1929, Rin Tin Tin got the most votes as best male actor. However, the Academy wanted the awards to be taken seriously and said the winner had to be human.

Rin Tin Tin silent films were hugely successful and saved the Warner Brothers studio from bankruptcy. The great grandson of the first Rin Tin Tin was supposed to play the role, but performed poorly in a screen test and was replaced with a more cooperative dog.

Last night was my first night on the Freeview site. I took the lap top to bed so that I could watch for the first time in over 30 years Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor. It has actually got better with age.

National Velvet was the movie that made Taylor a star at age 12. The name of the horse in the film was The Pie, short for Pirate. My Friend Flicka (flicka is the Swedish word for girl) was another popular horse movie that starred a young Roddy McDowall, who also starred with Taylor in the first Lassie film.

In the 1950s, a TV show based on the My Friend Flicka film was aired in the same time slot as Rin Tin Tin. That prompted a huge argument between my sister and myself over which show to watch. She wanted the horse series, I wanted Rinty. The situation was resolved by my sister watching her show at a neighbor's house where the kids favored horses. She was furious that My Friend Flicka was canceled after its first season, but Rin Tin Tin ran for another four years.

You're too young to know such things.

You know very well it used to be on TV when we were kids.

I am sure my dad always piped up Frankie Laine every time the song came on

Mr Ed, My Favourite Martian, Beverly Hillbillies etc etc forever imprinted.

A horse is a horse of course of course and no one can talk to a horse of course......

TV's hay-day.

Mr Ed's 'wife' was a scary horse.....he called her 'Nightmare'

The recent general theme of this thread has been animal stars/nostalgia........Soo to see if Martin cuts us......here's something completely unconnected.....Although some say he is a bit of an animal......

Without looking it up.....What's Ginger baker's first name? Bet you a SML you don't know that one Jacko!

That horse really could talk, heard it straight from him!

I will always remember Bewitched husband was called Darrin, tall dark and dreary as Agnes Moorehead referred to him.

Peter according to Google!! Obviously I didn't know it and will have to buy my own horse-pee.

You see what I did there, got us back to animals.

Which famous actress supplied the voice for one of the Addams Family Members as a child?

After looking it up I still have no clue.... Discovered half of the cast have died.... Morticia, (who I would have), has gone....Lurch has left us in the.....oh never mind!
Lisa Lorring, (whoever she is) after a brief but torrid affair with Mr Ed, married a pornstar so presumably she's getting her oats and is trotting along happily.

Apparently for our pornstar name we use our first pets name and out first street address........Typically I'm 'Snowy Bell' Sounds like a gay pornstar to me. Snowy Bell 'end' might work better.

Any good porn names thrown up out there?

A couple of things to note. Frankie Laine didn't sing the theme to the TV series Champion the Wonder Horse (called The Adventures of Champion in the U.S.). He was supposed to record it, but missed a flight and the production company used a studio singer named Mike Stewart who had a similar voice to Laine but was uncredited. Laine later released a recording of the theme song that became popular in the U.K. Many people assumed Laine had sung the title song of the series, which is exactly what the studio wanted. Laine was much more popular in the U.K. than the U.S. and still holds some records for weeks on the U.K. charts. Neither Elvis nor the Beatles were able to break them.

Lisa Loring, who played Wednesday Addams in the 1964 TV series, later fell on hard times and got involved on the fringes of the porn industry as a script writer and make-up artist. She met male porn star Jerry Butler on the set of Traci's Big Trick (a fictional biography of Traci Lords) in 1987 and married him the same year. She became heroin addict and it took her some years to get clean. She now does Addams Family nostalgia events and has had a few B movie roles.

Complicating things was the fact that a porn actress used the name Lisa Loring, but it's not the same person.

In terms of porn names, I always thought Pussy Galore would have been unbeatable, but it was already taken. There was a U.S. stripper named Lotta Box, but that's a very poor second. On the male side, I thought Rambone was good name.

OK back on topic....nearly.

These boxes are great.....and Chas has been fantastic about sorting out any issues for me. Updates are posted on Facebook but as I'm not on FB Chas has been really helpful inviting me, (and when I'm there I meet others) to his home. I take my box have a cup of tea and leave with the thing twitched to perfection.

I'm thinking of getting a new updated more powerful box but frankly the one I have does it's job so well I'm not sure there's any point.

Anyway get one jacko....... Chas' number again is..0806447814.

I thought I mentioned it,I use True internet and lanzalad said the boxes don't work with True.

I also do not want to watch programs only on the TV, sometimes I just use the laptop.

I have adequate for my needs at the moment.
