Residence Garden or Nova Park were always my choice but that is a long time ago. Used to get a monthly deal inclusive of utilities and cleaning.

Give us a few ideas like what are you looking for, location and expected price range.

Does anyone no of any for a month a longer. Or how to go about it and not get ripped off on things like utilities? Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.

There's no shortage of places you could stay. For example, it seems like there are two or three guest houses on every block. Many will give you a good monthly rate if they have an available room. You could also check out some of the serviced apartments. And if you're worried about utilities, just ask what the rates are, per unit. Some apartments will add a little to the official rate, but for only a month or two, it wouldn't be a big deal, in any event. Some of the YouTube channels covering Thailand do reviews of guesthouses and hotels, so you might check those out.

I recall answering this question for someone else and getting my ass torn out. This was because he didn't tell us what was important to him and human nature will therefore make us substitute what we want rather than what you do.

Make life a bit easier. tell us your accommodation preference. Possible cost/price limits. Facilities required such as pool, gym and restaurant. You will get a lot of dubious suggestions without more info.

Just a warning.

If the place is not a registered hotel or guest house, officially you can get into strife if the the rental is less than 6 months. The authorities and neighbours are cracking down on this. This has come about from Air B&B style rentals upsetting neighbours.

This being Thailand your mileage ma vary.

We stayed at the City Garden Condominium in Phratamnak on Kasetsin Soi 1 for 6 months the last time we went to Pattaya. The building was very new and we enjoyed our stay there. It has a nice pool and a sauna and steam room on the ground floor. The staff were brilliant and it was a pleasant environment. There are two 7 Elevens nearby and lots of good restaurants too including the Sky Gallery. Phratamnak is a great place to stay in Pattaya. We paid 15k a month not including bills but the the utility bills were only cheap. Around 800 a month and we used a lot of electric. We didn't get ripped off with the water or electricity bill because I had access to the metres and both myself and the letting agent took photos of the readings before we moved in. Many agencies are reluctant to rent places less than six months due to the new laws that were implemented but as with most things in Pattaya, there are ways round that. If you're well presented and polite I don't think you'll struggle to find a place to rent for less than six months, I found a few agencies that were willing to before we settled on the place in Phratamnak and when we moved in they didn't think we were going to stay as long as we did.

Loads of places do this , but for you to get any reliable answers you need to tell us where what and how much you want to pay. Some go for 5000 a month or even less if you want a thai style no AC room . or the sky's the limit if you want luxury. reasonable cheap rooms start at around 10000 baht a month and go up from there.

Thanks for your response. Any location that makes Pattaya accessible by baht bus is ok. Though I preferto be close to soi Honey or soi chayapoon area off soi bukaw. I'm hoping to get in the range of 10000 baht a month.

thai style is ok. would be nice if I could just have a/c. but I can do without it. traditional thai bathroom is ok. I'm pretty adaptable. As long as the place is safe and sanitary.

I looked at loads of Thai style rooms on 3rd road when I was looking...some 6000+ and i wouldnt house a dog in them, and some 6000+ and fabulous. One was 10000 but besides the standard main room you had a separate sitting/tv room, although this was accessed off the balcony. All were no more than 5 minutes chiapoon, all air con.

None had websites. It was a case of legwork and looking. Parts of me wish I'd taken a room in one block almost at the end of soi excite, as every time I walk past there are loads of bar girls hanging round who obviously live there...

Nirun Gand Condo and 9 Karat are coming to my mind although more Arunothai area.

I have had a friend just turn up and find a place on Soi Honey for a month, will ask him.. he won't be paying much.

Here you go... try Tossaporn Guest House on Soi Honey, near 2nd Rd end.

My pal says he is paying 8000 incl water for a room with a fridge, TV and AC.

Google Maps.

Sometimes you just have to love the English translation of Thai names. The first time i went to Chiang Mai i was recommended to stay in the Pornping hotel but i didn't as i had to leave my hotel contact details with colleagues and family in the UK

Diana Estate off Soi Buakhao would be a good option.

However, it is an older development so the quality of the units varies. Make sure that you get a good one through a reputable agency and you should be well fixed up.

Well as I said, I have a friend staying there so I applied the moniker 'tosser' hotel!
