I do not know anyone who has stayed or visited the hotel; I think the view towards Wongamat Beach is likely to be better than the view to the front.

The pointy bit at the top reminds me of the RAC building on the M6 near Walsall !

During an interview there in '89 I was told that the design is based on the RAC peaked hat !!

So, one could conclude that I think the design of a futuristic Space building in Pattaya is based on a long obsolete piece of uniform from the '80s ........

I’m always amazed at the new places I get to with the wife around Pattaya usually connected to food places. Today it was the Hidden beach in Na Kluea and was nice to see Pattaya and Koh Lan from another angle or direction. Only been here 10 years and still discovering the place or as I get older my interests are diversifying 😊

A few pics from around town.

Starting off with Soi Casino (between Soi Buakhao and Soi 15). The construction of the houses has moved along, and I hope the road will be properly laid before the project is finished.

The shed at the back of The Avenue on Soi 15 appears to be having proper drainage put in, so what's it going to be?

The Beach Road entrance to Royal Garden Mall now includes a lift to take you all the way to the roof.

The building between Soi 6 and Runway Market is near complete, and has been painted a sickly shade of red. It looks to be aimed at the Chinese Market.

And beside it, some toilets have been built for the market.

Also, a toilet van has been placed at the entrance to Walking Street.

The Walking Street sign has been taken down, but the new one not erected yet.

I've been here a week and a half, and the weather and pollution have been so much better than I had anticipated.

A small car show on the ground floor of Central Festival. 

 

This, as I assume many will know is situated in front of a restaurant on Second Road, usually accompanied by another prestige car.  By good fortune today the second car had been moved.  Quite a difficult shot as there is a metal grill located directly in front of the car and the rear of the car is in a shaded area.  There were also bright red cones at the side of the car.  Lightroom/ Photoshop have done a pretty good job.

Not the colour one would expect for a rugged pick up.

Worth a visit, if you like taking photos, but take some dog food along with you.
