  1. From 16 August 2011 - 01:43 AM: The Mexicans use American hot sauce? They might as well, since there are more Mexicans in America than there are in Mexico, but to be more realistic they do use other brands, mostly El Yucateco with either Japapeno or Habanero chillies 0 Population, Mexico www.google.com/publicdata 113,423,047 - 2010Source: World Bank Jesting?
  2. I'll be leaving Thailand next month and will be gone when I'm supposed to do my 90 day reporting. I'll have the proper multiple exit visa stamp in my passport but when I return in 6 or 7 weeks, I'll be looking for a new place and possibly new city to live. How is this handled with the thai immigration? Do I have a grace period when I return or does my 90 day reporting period start from my time of reentry? Now that the British attache is no longer at the Jomtien immigration, is there anyone there who can help out in English? Any links to government sites that give visa regulations and policies in English? My Thai's a little rusty. 555 Thanks
  3. I fly economy and chose Singapore this time for a change from EVA. The plane was fine but in economy I'd say it was not appreciably different from what I'd expect on any other airline other than JAL.
  4. And what happens when they find out they don't work right? 555
  5. they sound good to me. I like their qualifications. Under preventive care they list sterile set/ visit TBH 100. Do you figure that's a charge to clean the instruments used on the last patient? 6. There was recently a raid on the 2nd floor of tuc com where the police confiscated loads of fake phones. I'd use caution buying from there if I were to buy a phone in Pattaya. just saying..
  7. Not according to international banking agreements. If the card goes adios, you're faced with contacting your bank for a new card. always a good idea to have a back up or alternative card. Even a power outage could cause grief. Big d may have been a lucky exception but that's not how the plan's supposed to work. "The bank inside the Royal Garden Shopping Center ate my card. I was able to get it back within a few minutes. God only knows how long it would take to get it back from a ATM outside of 7-11? FWIW I carry a spare ATM card with me. " 0
  8. Looks like a great party. Sorry I didn't know about it earlier. Please give Wee my heartiest B'day greetings.
  9. EVA delux? still economy
  10. Nose discharge matter should just be considered an "extra spice".
  11. I agree whole heartedly with this post. I had the dubious distinction of meeting Paul on the day he stopped renting bicycles. I went to his bar to rent two bikes for the day. The location of the bar is not at ground zero but I suppose it could flourish, as stated above, from the business of the 3000 residents. I know i'd be a patron if I lived closer to it. While many of us know Pattaya abounds with hucksters, scam artists and con men, I think Paul is definitely not one of them. I'm not in the market to buy any business at this time but if i were, I'd like to do business with a person of Paul's character.
  12. The fellow in the OP pic missed the class on the correct way to wear a mask. I was eating in my favorite restaurant last week when I notice a hair mixed in with the sauce on my plate. I considered myself lucky as I hate picking hairs out of my mouth after I take a bite. I wonder if the figure is more than 95% of the restaurant employees who don't wash their hands ever after taking a piss or shit.
  13. What Rodney states is true, IMHO. I'll go so far as to say there was probably well in excess of 70 ladies in Kinnaree on the day I was there with Rodney and four other fellows on a DD crawl. Kinnaree packaged everything together as I like it.. There was an abundance of attractive, friendly ladies in a comfortable place with very reasonable prices. The music was also at a reasonable level. I'd likely head back to Kinnaree and forego Saphire for the time being. 0
  14. Is the FLB or any other bar planning to show a rerun of the Niner-Saints game? Time/place?
  15. So much for 5 stars...
  16. I think this article on www.thaivisa.com offers an extremely well thought out analysis of the real estate situation faced by falangs in Pattaya as well as all of Thailand. http://www.thaivisa....thailand.0.html Gabor, just curious to know if your photo is actually a recent development on the right hand side heading into Pattaya from Jomtien? Shortly after going under the overpass where the dead and decaying speed boats have their graveyard?
  17. I thank you and Dr. Mick for your replies. Yes it is possible to get there more than within my budget of bt.3K Dr. Mick gave the link of http://www.thailandb...asternLine.html This prompted me to tell the little lady she needs to get on the horn (phone) and call the Thai Train office. She did so and got some information albeit limited. It will happen I think. The little lady speaks mountains more english than I speak thai and sometimes we're not fully on the same wave length. I think what she told me before she left is that she can take the "free train" from Pattaya to BKK from Monday to Friday. here it is. She could't tell me much about these trains when we rolled into the BKK train station. I don't know if she needs a special admittance or not. I'm not concerned about the fare on the train. the first call she made gave her a schedule of a ten minute window to catch the train to Udon Tani which I told her was not very good as any train could be late. She's a young lady and I gave her the charge of being responsible and making a wise decision about how to get to her parents house to deliver the puppies she wants to give them Update.... She just called me as i asked her to do and she said the train is free from Pattaya to Udon Tani for a human being. She must pay for the dogs. I can no longer quote Mr. NP but for sure his negative reply to me was far off the mark the mark. My Pappy always told me if I had nothing good to say I should say nothing. That's a good lesson for some to learn I think. I commended the lady on doing a good job getting the information she got
  18. As did teelack, I enjoyed my three week stay in Cambodia. The ladies are fine and there's lots to do. I flew in and out of Phnom Phen but next time i wouldn't mind the adventure of the bus all the way. teelack Elite Poster Participant 4,030 posts Joined 10-August 04 New Zealand Posted Today, 05:07 AM If you have a look at my recent trip reports on Cambodia and Siem Reap I have given some for and against responses but for the record I suggest that you plan ahead because you will get cheaper airfares assuming you fly Airasia and you will also also be obliged to do it. Its so easy to get to Pattaya and say Phuket!
  19. I decided to be the shithead last night, so when something came up about christmas on TV I said thank goodness there's no Christmas in Thailand. Boy did I get a rise out of the little lady. I stopped celebrating Xmas eons ago and won't be starting now. What about me...? 555
  20. I'd like to find transport for the mutt/mutts to Khon Kaen to the house of my lady friend I'm willing to spring for bt.3000 My friend in Khon Kaen thinks it would probably be bt.5000 for a taxi. My lady friend's parents have a good place for a dog to live. That's why I'm willing to go for the transport. I'm told a bus doesn't allow for animals and that's fine with me. I don't think plane transport would be within my acceptable budget. Any suggestions to keep it within the 3K limit? If it costs more, I'd just as soon donate the money for sterilization food. Pure Mutt Mama dog in the company of one of the many Cambodian guards of the complex. Mama dog not so long ago backed off a bunch of Thai guys once when she decided she owned the soccer ball they were using. She was under a truck with it and they weren't going to get HER ball. It was a gas to watch.. There are 7 of the mutts here. I'm surprised at how well they are tended to as opposed to a guy on the street without any limbs. How could anyone not love a mug like this? A better look at a new arrival on planet. earth.
  21. As another poster mentioned your price range would help others in giving you information as would the dates of your stay. If you plan on an extended stay, you could consider a serviced apartment which in turn could aid in your price range selection. good luck and enjoy your stay
  22. nice group of photos. thanks. There must have been a thousand or more people in the parade honoring the King. Would you please post where the resto is in this pic?
  23. I guess it was my mistake then. I didn't know about a forum member policy for HH. The waitress was firm in telling us the only thing available at a HH price was draft beer. If I'd told her I was a forum member wouldn't she have asked for some kind of proof which I don't have? Again, we drank the draft beer (many) but i may have ordered something different as a change up.
