It has always been a must for me to visit PBG whenever in Patts....perhaps because I live up country I appreciate it more than those arriving from Westernised countries!! I have noticed that service is a bit rude at times...normally busy times..and I think the number of staff should be increased at known busy hours.. As I mentioned I live ooop north and survive in the village using my adequate Thai language skills...Try talking to your server in Thai all you get is a tut then inadequate English back!!

I will only post this because others have mentioned soi 7 P & W. I had a right downer on the place for years due to 2 unpleasant experiences. Prior to these experiences I had used the place ages before Rosie o'something opened next door.. Won't go into the bad things unless someone asks...I am not into bashing places..( Other than TQ1 and Rock house but I digress) but I needed a good fill of farang food about 2 weeks ago before heading home.. a 5 hour drive.. I ordered the breakfast with extra bubble and squeak...bloody hel!l it was bloody delicious, bloody spot on! and bloody well near the real thing...which is something you can rarely say about a restaurent or pub. Real bubble and squeak is a Monday or Tuesday fry up of all the Sunday dinner left overs mashed together and slow fried but what was presented had all the right textures and all the right tastes and all I can say is well done chaps and som nam na me for staying away so long.......but I aint gonna let you off your problems one of which still exists...and it makes me ANGRY!!

This is the most important recommendation.....Have at least 2 fittings. "Tailors" are really cloth sellers. They tend to use the same or similar Thai tailors that make the garment. I use Harry Potter on Soi 1 as it is next to Summer Spring....but again please remember to leave time for fittings and alterations...and make it clear to whomever you choose that you want 2 or 3 fittings to get the product you want..

If time and money were not an issue I am sure it would be a splendid trip along the coast. Good idea and I hope you get to do it....and send in a trip report..

Regarding the tennis now on TV. I find the men's game boring. With the speed and accuracy of the serves it has got to the stage that when there is even a basic 4 shot rally the crowds start to get excited.,,, With the women's game there tends to be more rallies and I find that more interesting to watch.....and also there are more chances to see different faces in the final games...
