  1. It tends to be a series of short heavy bursts rather than one long continual one, so it isn't too difficult to avoid. But what the hell, even if you do get wet you'll have dried out before you know it. be seeing you monkeyman
  2. English Judas? Already been done mate. Arnold Judas Rimmer. be seeing you monkeyman
  3. Just by way of a postscript to this thread, I used the service myself last month and everything went fine. I had to front the driver a few baht for the tolls but it was knocked off the bill so no problems. If you want to pre-book your ride to Pattaya, this should do you OK. be seeing you monkeyman
  4. I've stayed there a few times and have always been happy with the food and the service. I don't know of any watersports facilities, though there are plenty close by. They're not guest friendly like they used to be, but I never found this to be any more than a minor irritation. I think you'll enjoy your stay. be seeing you monkeyman
  5. Sarges Can't remember the exact dates, but I'm guessing you copped for the beginning of the crackdown prior to APEC. Things are rather better now. ;D be seeing you monkeyman

  12. No use in LOS then, eh? I get free travel insurance from my bank as long as any part of the trip is paid for using one of their cards. Always worth checking with your bank and credit card companies as you may be eligible for free insurance and not be aware of it. ;D be seeing you monkeyman

  16. Well, if the rooms still available on the 12th I might give it a look myself. Gordon, just read your post about PJ Scuba. Don't blame the messenger!! Had you booked the return journey with them, and if so, will you still be using them? If you will, I'd be interested to know what happens, for obvious reasons. And by what time do you have to vacate the rooms in Sandy Spring? be seeing you monkeyman
  17. Well, it just goes to show they're not getting too westernised. ;D
