If you heard a banging while you were in the shower and they she was acting strange, then she is the thief. While the method was uncommon, the theft by a BG is not. It happens every single night in pattaya, without exception. Personally I would name and shame. Even if your wrong about who it was, its not worth the risk. Thats what this board is for - giving and receiving information that will make your trip to Thailand safer and funner. For me that means staying away from any BG that is even possibly associated with something like this. In other words... lets see the pic and the bar name Frosty

Nice to see you still like to put your own spin on things. 400 baht is 100 baht more then most places. Show me where you can get a 200 baht Oil massage in pattaya today? I'm sure there is one, but I sure as hell would not want to lay down there. Probably dirty as hell. Some places 250, sure... but most 300. That is not double. Second, where did I say it was unsatisfactory? I said it was at least as good as ANY of the good massage places in town. Read before you post, and don't twist my words to mean what you want them to say. For comparison, I put the massages at Yellow House at a 5 - and at HealthLand a 7 as well.

Ok, So... I arrived at my scheduled time. The place is very nice at first appearance. Very clean and neat - comfortable. They have a menu of drinks you can order, at reasonable (but not low) prices (50bt beer). When you first walk in (unlike most places) the girls are not to be seen or heard - they hang out in the back and will come forward if called so you can take your pick. I had mine scheduled tho, so I didn't get to see that process. The girls that were there that late (8pm) were a mix of cute and average - I only saw 2 that I would do, and I am pretty picky - but I did not see all the girls that were there - I heard them in the back, but never saw them.... Had a few fuglies as well :) The girl I reserved is 24 and cute, nice body... and good overall disposition. I did not ask her to get naked for the massage (and she didn't), but after the massage I found that she would have if I had asked (or at least topless), tho I got the impression thats not on the table for everyone Massage was a 7 - good, but not great... too soft... But considering my leg is still fucked up from a couple weeks ago, thats probably a good thing this time, tho I will ask her to be a bit stronger next time (or pick someone else just for variety). HJ was offered and turned down, BJ was accepted - no talk of money, but I gave her 500. Got the distinct impression that full service was on the menu, but did not ask. The rooms are moderate sized - not large, but larger then you need for what it is. Shower was clean and private in the room - very nice. Lights were on a dimmer, so set it the way you like it. The bed was overly hard however - as was the pillow. Thats my only complaint... They need a better pillow, or one with a shape more conducive to a face being pressed in to it. Was moderately uncomfortable. (Hope your reading this Luna! - ). While the bed was hard, for a massage thats not a bad thing - but the pillow needs some work! Overall I would say the experience was worth the price. An extra 100 baht for a private room and at least as good of a massage as I would have gotten at any of the other "good" massage places in town (not the cheap holes in the wall on Soi honey), as well has having extras available... not bad at all. I was asked not to post the name of the lady, so I won't - since I know at least one person from the place will be reading this lol. I will be returning - Likely even today, but tomorrow at the latest, despite the higher price (which I really don't mind anyway - why quibble over $3??)

So... what your saying is that since a car is a car, a Ferrari should cost the same as a Pinto? Or perhaps a steak dinner should cost the same from a street vendor as in a 5 star eatery? Of course not. Thinking so is just stupid. You pay for more then just what you get - you pay for the ambiance of WHERE you eat, as well as the quality of the goods. A private room and shower has value. If you're not willing to pay it, that does not mean its a bad value - its just not for you. More for us

Speaking of the dipping or oars... I made a booking with a girl recommended by the management for 6pm tonight. Will throw a report here afterward :)

shit. lol. That was funny.

Exactly why I won't stay in the cheap villages on the darkside. Living out here is perfectly safe if you do so in a village that has a gate (only one entrance) and full time security. Nobody (not even residents) can get in to my place unless the guard opens the gate.

Another question... What is a "Special Lotion Massage" for 500 baht/hr?
-
I'll give it a try tomorrow. I agree with MM - its well worth an extra 100 baht (most good oil massages are around 300) for a private room, AC and private shower. Take Yellow House for example - nothing is private there, the AC sucks and the girls aren't near as cute as those pictured here. Well worth the extra, IMHO. So Luna (and btw, why you named Luna if its your friends shop? Just curious =P), this IS a mongering board... and I dont think anyone on this board would be interested in a CUTE masseuse if all they wanted was a massage. That said... since you can't (for obvious reasons) tell us which girls will provide extras, can you do us the favor of telling us which girls will NOT provide extras? So I know who not to schedule..> Would hate to have to post a negative (at least negative from a mongers standpoint) review because I chose wrong Frosty

Damn - sorry to hear about that bro. I really am. :/ Sounds like Secrets would be a good match for you. The only downside being you have to climb the stairs to your room... But they are very friendly, have ladies in the bar downstairs and have fairly good rates. They also have a good kitchen - just tell them your needs and I am sure they can help.
-
Am sure its legal - but not so sure its a good idea if you have any kind of estate that needs to go to probate. At the very least you should have a lawyer on the other side (your home country) prepare a version of that will and any other necessary paperwork. At the very least ask that question on a legal forum where there are posters that have a better understanding of the laws involved. I only asked myself because I have substantial investments and assets in the USA that would need to be liquidated and distributed in the event anything happened to me, and I found it curious :) I am not, however, an expert (or even all that knowledgeable) on the subject... Definitely get professional counsel!

btw, I got that direct (tho not word for word) from the US Embassy in BKK when I asked the same exact question :)
-
When you die here your body will be released to the US Embassy who ship it home, and upon arrival the body is inspected by a pathologist and the proper paperwork is completed. A copy of the Thai report might accompany the body, but the official death certificate will be issued in the USA. Not sure what happens if you simply disappear, or the body is not available, etc.

If you bring her along, introduce her to the band at FLB. They can answer any questions as they have been here for about 10 years now and love it. If your on facebook let me know and I will send you their contacts - am sure they would be happy to swap emails before your visit.

Had another very rare bad meal arrive this afternoon. Ordered Chicken Cordon Blue with baked potato... Arrived way overcooked and with a half a plate full of mashed potato. The server noticed right away (oh you order flench fly - I take back one minute)... but I had to tell her no as I was eating lunch with someone who was on a tight schedule (short lunch break) and didnt have the time. On top of that, the mixed veggies were apparently added with about 4oz of water and the overcooked chicken was a soggy mess. Wouldnt have been that bad except I really don't enjoy mashed potato unless it has garlic or something in it - I am not a fan of it at PBG, so I never order it. Their baked potatoes are great tho! (its hard to fuck one of those up lol) This only ever happens in the early afternoon - but it usually does happen in the afternoon. I am going to start skipping the place until evening from now on I think. No sense in paying for a good western meal from a chef that don't know how to cook lol. That said, in the evening its still one of the best places for western food in town. I just wish the evening cook would take a minute and teach the daytime guy a thing or 3. I hope Pete is reading this and puts his foot down. I would like to put PBG back on the afternoon menu... for now, its not :/

I was going to go down there and try it out tonight and post a report, but will have to postpone that. Popped my lower leg out of joint at the knee during the bar crawl the other night, and it still hurts too much to go out to eat tonight. Will see about doing it over the weekend and will post the results when I do. -
You will never be hassled (or likely even approached) at PBG. In all the time I have been going there, I was only approached once and she didnt say anything - just stopped by where I was sitting and looked - when I looked away she moved on. I think they even have a sign of sorts if your looking for a FL - something about a green drink coaster or something you can use that tells the girls your open to play? Not sure about this - I saw something about it one time, but never investigated since as I said its not my scene.

In that case, Soi 6 is the place to go. Plenty of places there that have what your looking for. :)
-
Looks like Fondles is being his usual prickish self. That particular venue has recently turned in to a gay gogo. You dont want to go there. Go to FLB. Lots of good looking ladies working there now - they open in a hour. Other then that, join up on the weekly bar crawls (see the Bar Crawls section of this forum).

Amen to that. Hell, I would kill for a good authentic Queso - but its not to be had anywhere here :/ I never had the Fajitas there, but I wasnt all that hot on the tacos. I like Mikes better. Mikes Mexican is on Thepraya Soi 5. Used to have their card around here, but cant find it now. Thepraya is the road that goes between Pattaya and Jomtien - the one Residence Garden is on. Soi 5 is just up from Residence Garden on the left as you head toward Jomtien, and Mikes is about 30 meters in to the soi on the Left. You cant miss the sign both on Soi 5 and on Thepraya - its a huge yellow thing you just cant miss. Best Mexican food in town by a very large margin - so far above the rest that I doubt anyone else will be able to knock them off the seat. They still don't have Queso tho lol. (and their "nachos" suck) Frosty -
Gotta throw my 2 cents in here. I have eaten at PBG at least once a week (and often many more times per week) since I moved here. Thats hundreds 0f visits all told, and I can count the number of bad meals on one hand easily. Most of my bad experiences where the food is concerned were during the day, when I would typically order the same meal I do at night - the cook is very obviously different during the day, as I have found the quality quite a bit lower for some meals during the morning and early afternoon. That said, they were still not bad! Just different. (For instance, the day time guy adds onions to the vegetables, and does not add as much butter, if any for dishes that have a mixed vegie side). While its not often I see Pete there, I have seen him there dozens of times and I have no doubt whatsoever that he does everything he can do to keep his customers happy - thats just the way Pete is. If you have a problem, bring it up and it WILL be fixed or you will be compensated. Easy, done. There are places in town where the management or ownership cares little for what the customers think - PBG is not in that category. I ate there just yesterday and it was excellent as always, and while the service staff can sometimes get chatty, they always look around to see if anyone needs them. Wave at them and they will be there in seconds.

I don't know you, but you hit that one right on the head. Tequila reef only does one thing good: Tequila. Their food sucks. Its not rancid by any means - made with fresh enough materials... but it tastes lousy when compared to Mikes Mexican. Not worth a walk across the street IMHO. That said, their "sloppy nachos" are not bad. Better then most nachos in town - but not worth a trip to Soi 7. -

If the post had come from anyone credible, I would have. Fondleshimself is known for winding people up for no reason other then to get a rise. I wouldn't be surprised if he had never eaten at Bobs, much less had one of the bad experiences. When I first moved here, and before on holiday, I ate at Bobs many times - and while the food was not great maybe, I surely never found it rancid. Too many accounts say otherwise in the last year or so tho, so I believe their quality went down hill... but I wouldnt believe Fondles if he said the sun will rise tomorrow. He's not the sort you listen to when you need good advice about anything, one way or the other. That was my point, and I stick by it. Dale has all the info he needs now to turn Bobs back around and make it a good place to eat again - I hope he manages it. Wont happen if he listens to people like Fondles. -

Food quality issues aside for the moment... Don't pay too much attention to what Fondleshimself says. He likes to try to wind people up (I have him on ignore, but still see your quote lol), and if he does have friends, they likely know him well enough to not pay attention to him either Will be in to try the food on Friday night... hope its up to par. Will be posting a report here. :) Frosty
