  1. Eva and KLM have the only direct flights from Schipol,EVA have flights 9 Jan return 28 Feb 2018 for 601euro,9Jan is a Tuesday,it's the same price for those dates as this year, you won't get it cheaper for a direct flight.
  2. The first bank here in the Netherlands is now quoting zero intereste on saving account's,the rest will follow.
  3. You do need to update but it's all done with a couple of clicks of the mouse and sometimes your password and sometimes a restart,as for viruses as only 2% or so of computers run on Linux and most users are tech savvy it's not worth the spammers time and effort.
  4. I had it 5 years ago age 60 in the Netherlands they wait till they have enough six in my case then do them all in one go so to speak, after they bring you round they get you up go to the toilet, 2 guys got up and walked relatively pain 3 the rest of us in agony, took a few days to get around with crutches, before and after the op I got around on my cycle no problem took a couple of months before I lost the last crutch.
  5. The OP is 30 months old.
  6. The other thing about cooking Yorkshire pudding is that the fat/oil in the dish you are cooking it in must be smoking hot,and that takes some nerve for a novice cookand then they have to pick it up and put it in the oven.
  7. I tried the dinner buffet at the Lek once many years ago, Couldn't eat it and i mean couldn't the meat!stew was impossible to chew I just left.
  8. Cheers, China had one flight a day to Bangkok as does KLM EVA fly 3 times a week, all the flights during the high season were pretty much fully booked,I have a flight booked for January with eva for 600 euro that's about as good as it gets really.lots of options with stopovers though.
  9. Now China air are stopping direct flights on the Amsterdam Bangkok route that leaves KLM or EVA,in cattle class there's nothing between then so it's down to price and EVA win on that.what flights go direct to Bangkok from Heathrow instead of Amsterdam?
  10. China air have stopped there direct Amsterdam Bangkok flights from dec2,that means that only KLM and EVA do direct flights from then,Eva will be full possibly overbooked great, booked for Jan 10.
  11. I have a ticket for January with EVA return from Amsterdam it only cost 601 euro, basically it's a use it or lose it ticket I knew it when I booked with the airline.they call it an "economic saver" code T I think.
  12. The sites that do the fast track services usually have a package meet and greet+fasttrack and they offer a range of limousines,BFS start at 850 for the card and escorts to 5000+ for the top limousine.Dont think there's any hanky panky though.
  13. I was sitting on a roadside seat of Lisa bar up near soi1 or 2 and was horrified by the brown fumes from the exhausts of the Chinese tour buses,as it was dark you only really notice when it's in your face literally. The pollution in pattaya means I will never stay there again it's Jontiem for me now.
  14. Poached eggs, hollandaise, muffins should be there bacon, ham, smoked salmon, chorizo, spinach or anything you choose to use is allowed as long as it's specified on the menu.
  15. My guess is that the hollandaise would be the most difficult thing to get right consistently,I imagine that most places would use a ready made mix and not fresh yolksand butter.
  16. Got a flight booked for January and I knew when I booked it that it's a "use it or lose it ticket" may be able to get some tax back but that's it if I can't make the flight.its cheap.
  17. Don't know about that, the one difference is that you go through security straight after passport control, not when you board the flight.
  18. Where will your luggage be?
  19. done that one 1980Amsterdam to Athens to Dubai to Bombay to dacca to Bangkok.hell that would finish me off if I had to do that today.
  20. it could be the massive attack from. The flight. The airco. The pollution always bad but the mass of Chinese bus`s have taken it to a new level. The massage parlors are probably a major source of infections, how often are the sheets and pillow cases changed? short time rooms the same, some of the towels I have been handed after an oil massage are a serious health hazard. The drinking will take its toll and the diet. The things we do when drunk and who we do it with. The whole mongering thing in Pattaya is a health hazard. The drugs we take.
  21. Didn't happen to me 3 weeks ago, have read about people in transit getting collared and having to pay tax on stuff they have brought.
  22. Years too late the island was ruined when they got the roro ferry,
  23. There were some people waiting already at the carousel when i got there, and the bags arrived fast because they had red labels on marked Priority I guess they paid for the privilege,Eva with fasttrack and priority luggage they were out of there fast before the rest had even got through the normal passport controlled,it's the way to go if you really need it.
  24. I used the 850 service this February because I got pissed off with the mess at the normal immigration, this time I will just let her take me to the fast track booths and get the pass and let her go I don't need my hand holding to get my luggage and make my way to the taxi or bus,it's 23:60 euro well spent.I do get there before my luggage but it's a 10 minute wait max and relaxed.
  25. That's the 850 link I have
