KL with Malaysia is nearer to 900 Euro, KLM is almost a 1000, via singapore is a 15 hour trip to Amsterdam. Also the flight arrives in KL at 07:15 the flight to PP leaves 15:30. so whatever I do I have a long wait somewhere on the way. Though china/klm/eva all are a direct flight home Still 300 is a good saving I just have that wait on the way back

Cairo has a new terminal so its not gonna be a sandpit, I always fly direct and a few hours on the way back is an option as long as it is a few hours I may be able to deal with it,300 euro saving is not to be sneezed at. One other thing is that bangkok is a stopover on the way to Snooky and the Egypt air flight arrives at 12:00, time to go through Immigration and get the Airasia flight to Phnom Penh without the 7 hour wait if I fly direct with China. The EVA or KLM flights that are the only other direct flights from Amsterdam arrive to late to make the Airasia connection Whatever option I choose China or Egypt its a long waitover somewhere.

Flights with Egypt air Amsterdam to Bangkok via Cairo are available for under 500euro travel in January, now that's a very very good deal the next best with China is 800 euro. Its 15 hours outward but over 19 return, I would take it at that price but I have not found any recent reviews about punctuality maybe its not a problem,I don't need a drink to fly in fact I don't like to drink and fly so no problem with dry flights. Its that punctuality thats a worry 19 hours and some delays may not be worth the 300 savings. Also the Euro is slipping down so maybe no trip next year.

I am checking flights from Amsterdam for Jan-Feb EVA have direct Euro731 add about 20 for CC charge and booking fee and its a 100 cheaper than last year. Egypt Quatar Quantas Turkish Finn air All have flights a bit cheaper but check out how long the stopovers can be!!!!

EVA do direct flights from amsterdam with 777s and they have screens in every seat If you have to fly to Heathrow to connect Schiphol is a good alternative.

Just seen on the EVA website that from September they will use 77w planes on the Ams-Bkk rout. Got to be better than the old 747-400 or the combi. seems that the flight reductions are for a 3 month trial period and then we will see.

One question for Tom,have you heard what flights EVA are going to drop from the AMS-BKK route? I have a flight booked for January 6 and they are still available and the price is dropping. I want to book a flight BKK-PP but I don't want to book it until I am sure the flight will not be canceled Its all about the oil price i guess if that keeps going up we just cant tell what will happen, We need the price to stabilize even if its $150-200 a barrel at least I can make plans or know that I cant afford to travel.

Just read on thaivisa that EVA are going to cut flights, They will inform passengers one month before. That means i cant book my PP flight till I know for sure I can fly on those dates. Things are starting to look a bit scary economy wise.

Hem lines go up and down with the economy so expect long dresses foe a while Here in the wasteland at least.

I booked already in April for January but i found it was cheaper to book via an agent than via the EVA website.

what you do is download Firefox,then bookmark and put any papers that you like from the zen site in a folder. Right click" open all in tabs" and there they all are. you may be able to do it in windows but i use Linux with Firefox. Instead of a lawn why not grow some spuds? and the way prices are going some veg as well OH and a pig. and i am not joking

I booked with EVA for January at the beginning of April cost with all add ons 801 Euro, its now up to 990 Euro. Not via the EVA site but from a local website. Its Amsterdam -Bangkok by the way. sorry thats 900 Euro

Got a ticket with eva Amsterdam -bangkok for January 6 to February6 with all the add ion's 801 Euro . Got it in march as I thought the fares will only go a lot higher but they have only gone up about 20 Euro Still waiting for the price explosion,hope they do not go bust

The flights leave amsterdam arrive bangkok. EVA 12:35----05:15 China 14:35-----06:40 KLM 20:35-------12:35 I have an EVA flight booked yesterday for January6 till February 6 (its only nine months ). I hope to connect with the Thai air flight to Phnom Penh that leaves at 07:40, The flight cost via Vliegtwinkel.nl 801euros.cheaper than via the EVA site. I have asked on a couple of forums if anybody knows what time the Thaiair transfer desk opens? no answer yet has anybody done it please let me know.
