  1. Saw a few in Cabbages and Cons a few years back.
  2. Wacmedia, your forgot West Ham and surging Stoke City ... Good wins for both teams. The Potters up to 9th now and the 2nd best defense in the league behind Man City. Ya build from the back ...
  3. Very touching. Thanks for the effort. Cheers.
  4. Butch, nice review mate. The crew usually adjusts the central air con if you ask.
  5. That looks alright Gabor. Love "sunken boat bar" at the beach. PS Slightly off topic but what's the deal with that small island just before Koh Larn that has a large house on it? Is the whole island private?
  6. Nice one Evil. Brings back some memories. Rented a condo near where you stayed about 10 years ago. Another time we had a house at Kailua which was awesome. The Shorebird at the Outrigger was my favorite bar -- picture-perfect sunset views, handy happy hour, soothing local tunes and a great BBQ restaurant. http://shorebirdwaikiki.com/ Waikiki itself is rather scruffy and dated, IMHO, with all those old high rises but the place still has a lot of hidden charm and those brilliant beaches .
  7. Now now Papps ... but thanks for the laugh!
  8. Good point, but the Wenger of 10 years ago and the bloke at the helm now are worlds apart. Are Arsenal really that cash-strapped? I don't think so. He splashed plenty of cash in the off season but wants to win the league with inexperienced lightweights. In comparison, Mancini cherry picked some of the better players from his EPL rivals and the results showed. Wenger doesn't buy or sell wisely any more. Arsenal have some good individual players but the team balance is way off.
  9. Wacmedia, I tend to agree Tony Pulis looks a little lost of late as Stoke strive to play more attractive football rather than the long-ball lottery. Our ball retention is crap. Stoke have some quality individuals (Crouch, Walters, Jones, Etherington, Kightly, Adams, Nzonzi, Shawcross and Huth, to name a few ... ok to name em all! ) but we need to start scoring more and winning games. No midweek distractions like last season with the Euro Cup so fatigue is no excuse. Confidence is a big factor in football (look at Sunderland's turn around last year follwoing a woeful start) and both the Potters and BCs are currently lacking in belief. I thought Adam Johnson would be huge for the BCs but he is yet to fire. Swansea and WBA are good role models for small clubs but let's see where they finish in May. Blackpool had a great start a few seasons back but ended up falling apart.
  10. My beloved "Surging" Stoke City on a roll. Fook me we have "Sunderlanditis" ... can't score of late. A tough schedule at the start of the season but we need to start winning a few now against the minnows. Chelsea looking the most balanced team of the big guns so far but Torres is proving very wasteful up front. Man U have the umbrella formation. Strong at the top and the sides but below that they look vulnerable. De Gea a major liability and totally clueless on how to handle crosses. The guy simply lacks presence in a very important position. Massive overhaul at Liverpool. Despite the cock-up with missing out on Dempsey and Carroll's bizarre departure, the Kop are starting to play some attractive footy. I can see Liverpool finishing the season strongly though a top four could be out of their reach. This season's Arsenal squad is a lucky dip team. So many Gunners playing out of position that you don't know what you will get. Back four looked strong initially but the thrill has gone. Spurs? AVB=VD. Pure poison to the team. Gareth Bale at left back??? WBA, Everton and the Hammers all out of the blocks fast. Of those I only expect the Toffees to maintain the pace. C'on Stoke!
  11. I recognize that nail art ... Jim, of CIA "electrician" fame, I believe this is your handle. If so, a few more details like restaurant name and location could help a tad ... Great aerial pic of the burger, BTW!
  12. Thanks for the info guys. Alois' menu looks very impressive.
  13. Ok guys I'll try both!
  14. Thanks guys!
  15. Cheers Glyn, breakfast is served!
  16. Hearty review Gabs. Some don't like gherkin, or onions, or mustard, etc. so nowadays it's served as a Build Your Own. I can deal with that but I take issue with raw onions, which serve absolutely no tasteful purpose on a burger other than an as early morning sheet stainer! Grill those rings!
  17. Thanks Glyn, but how old is that guide? I swore we did a few golf pick ups from some new condos across from the RG only a few months back. But then again I was hungover ...
  18. Cheers sir!
  19. Just booked a couple of weeks at the Residence Garden (RG) at the end fo the year. Even with the peak season surcharge, it's a decent rate for that period. Haven't stayed at the RG for around five years so would appreciate an update on what is near the hotel. With the widening of the road and new condo blocks the area is almost unrecognizable from its former years. Previously an Internet cafe was located just left of the RG as you left the main building. That still there? If not, what other alternatives are there for computer use? (Couldn't be arsed bringing my own lap top) A couple of cheap laundry shops that got your clothes back the same day were across the road, they still about? Any decent restaurants or bars nearby? Sorry never really rated Captain's Corner. And what about Jade's? Heard it declined. Any updates?
  20. Nice pics, shame the walkway has been battered.
  21. A Taiwanese take on the Ryder Cup result.... ! Needs volume.
