You've been here before - what do you think? You say you're a London based company but I take it English is not your first language? -
I also have the Minix X8-H Plus. Would it be better for me to use a currently unused Notebook computer and download all the software onto there and use that instead of the Minix box? Is there a downside to this idea? KM

Wait until tomorrow, they'll have plenty to clear up then!! first race begins at 6, I think, I hope they have good tyres on their bikes to get over the speed bumps on the course! KM

This web page gives you details of the start time and the race is on Sunday morning. https://rxa.myraceonline.com/th/ptts17/Registrations and this is the video of last year, giving you an idea of parts of the routes http://www.thailandtrileague.com See you all bright and breezy on Sunday morning!! Anyone know how to contact Lanzalad? I can't access his website and he hasn't picked up a PM I sent him from here ages ago and I'm getting some problems with the channels on my box. Thanks anyone KM

For all those finely toned beasts of a handsome man you'll be pleased to know that this coming weekend is the Pattaya Triathlon - the time to showcase your sporting talent to all the lovely ladies who have already ogled your physique every evening during your training periods up and down the Sois of Pattaya. For the rest of us who are just slightly less toned or slightly less than we used to be, we must languish in the thoughts that Beach Road will probably be a complete cluster fuck whilst it carries on, certainly where the main swimming takes place and the transition area. The routes for the cycling or running is also currently a mystery to me, as it may be to some competitors on the day, but I'm sure it will be very professionally signposted, subject to no traffic restrictions being put into place!! I believe such events take place early mornings so competitors are not too affected by the sun, but what they may not be aware of is the hordes of Chinese tourists with flags and towels who will be sharing the same stretch of Beach Road desperate to get into their spectacularly safe speedboats for their 'Icarus' moment far beyond the reach of the jet skis. Have a nice weekend all!! KM

There's a Harley shop between Pattaya and Jomtein, it's likely they should have some stuff. I'm sure one of the locals on here will give you directions. KM

No-one took the piss out of you, I gave my opinion (which I'm entitled to) that a post such as yours as a first post in a mongers forum appeared to be from a troll. If you walked into a bar and without introducing yourself you tried to start a conversation with a deep scientific theory, where everyone else is just chilling out and having a beer, do you think you would be welcomed with open arms??? You appear to be posting for attention Just my opinion. KM

So within 40 minutes of joining the site you make this post? Not a troll, by any chance? Just curious. KM

Yes - I booked her in January both to and from the airport. Always on time, safe drive and polite. I also booked with her to go into Bangkok for a couple of days and again, even with the heavy traffic there, she was able to get to my hotel easily and picked up on time. Recommended - and tolls included in the fee. KM

you're a couple of months short, Short. She was looking for help early January. KM

There are two clock/watch shops at the end of Soi Beukhow close to Pattaya Klang, the one on the right being the one with the largest choices. However, since the OP hasn't even bothered to come back and acknowledge the effort put in by other members or clarify why electric only is his preferred option, I won't be contributing anymore to this thread. He can go out and look for himself now. KM

any new places of interest come up in pattaya?
keyman replied to kratos's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Don't know whether you're a gym bunny or not, but plenty of cheap gyms all over the place. There's a new air con gym at the Avenue which is pretty well equipped and charge 1500 baht for a month. Not cheap but a decent place. KM -
It's now been moved. Bering in mind how often the power trips out here (mine went this afternoon), means your electric clock would be less reliable than a battery clock. However, in answer to your question, most of the large department shops will sell them, they're not hard to find. KM

What about using your mobile phone? KM

Yep, same same here. I've sometimes had a little delay going through immigration, but nothing to write home about. Always have to wait a little bit for luggage, but again, no real dramas and no real issues on the roads. KM

This band was the headline band at the Burapa Bike Festival last year and were really good (IMHO!) They are playing at Rolling Live 3 on Soi 8 on Thursday night. If you like rock music they are definitely worth listening to. See if you recognise someone from Pattaya in the video (and it's free!!) Edit: They are have 3 other gigs after this one before headlining again at the Burapa Bike Festival next week - http://www.goobergun.com KM

I've merged the two threads, no need for two of them. KM

Who are you defaming??? So you're repeating a non-story from Thai Visa? You might just have said "I've heard a rumour, but can't say anymore" - a complete waste of time and bandwidth.

Might be useful giving a bit more information rather than this airy fairy rumour with no substance? Just a thought
