Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Which hospital is the best value in Pattaya?
keyman replied to simplelife's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
How many years? Just for relevance. KM -
I think if a guy sticks his head outside his door and he gets it wet, it's a pretty fair bet that he believes it to be raining and will not have to go back into his house and google a weather site to confirm it! You are well aware how easy it is to misquote a website when you quoted an event as 'to be happening' when it had already taken place. So I think the person interpreting the internet from thousands of miles away is more likely to be inaccurate than the guy carrying the umbrella - thats why people ask questions on this site for answers from those with boots on the ground rather than someone sat at a compute on the other side of the world. Hope that helps KM

So someone who hasn't been to Thailand for years is arguing against someone who has lived here for years - You couldn't make it up!!

No danger of that happening!! Don't you just love scaremongering????? KM

Blindfold her? KM

He may be in the UK, but so am I. I cant access his forum and need to talk with him about my box I bought from him earlier this year. If anyone does have a way of contacting him or able to leave a message on his forum for him to contact me, i would be very grateful. Thanks KM

I've also PM'd you, Phil KM

Pattayatalk has no advertising sponsor anymore - what to do
keyman replied to MM's topic in == Announcements ==
I'm always surprised when someone comes on and moans about the forum, but then sticks around - why? It's not costing you anything to stay other than your own time which I'm sure you could spend more effectively for your own entertainment elsewhere. The only people who HAVE to read all the posts are the moderators. Everyone else, including your good self, can pick and choose what they like and ignore those they don't like. You could even make some interesting and entertaining posts yourself, if you like. Do I like every single poster on this site? No. Are they still posting? Yes Do I give a shit? No I may have issues with some posters but I can quite categorically state I have not banned anyone for just being a nob. In fact, I struggle to remember banning anyone on this site. If someones behaviour is such that they could be banned, it is likely to be discussed with other mods and with Martin before that decision is taken, therefore making a balanced decision. Many many more have stayed than been booted. I'm sure Martin will appreciate your suggestions, however I cant appreciate your comments regarding moderation, because in my opinion, they're bollocks. I'm happy for you to prove me wrong though. KM -
You need to get out more!!! KM

I agree regarding Nam's Taxis. I was picked up this morning on time and had a pleasant safe and not too slow drive to the airport. Driver was the same one that picked me up on the way in, who spoke good English and absolutely better than the Grand Prix driver (in his own mind when he was fully awake!) I've used in the past (not Mr T). (Do I use too many brackets?) KM

Oh, I got it in one, doesn't mean I have to like reading text speak!! Bearing in mind this is a thread about what books people are reading, you wouldn't find a book written in text speak high up the rankings!

"dl'ed" = downloaded. Why he couldn't have put that in the first place, I mean, how much time has it saved him and cost us to ask for a translation and to give one??????? I thought it was just kids that did text speak! KM

Try Nams taxis. I've used her a few times and she or her drivers are always on time for me. Good drivers, not racers, 1200Baht KM

Officially no food or drink, however they will order food or drinks from downstairs for you and have it brought to you at poolside KM

I also have travel insurance through my bank and they had a clause regarding riding motorbikes abroad that they would only cover bikes up to 125cc and only if you were wearing a helmet. I told them that the bike I would ride in Thailand was150cc and that I have a much bigger bike in the UK which i ride regularly. They checked with their underwriters or who ever who said I would be covered for any size of bike that my license currently allows - which is unrestricted on size. KM

His location shows as UK, therefore he is asking for an IDL not a Thai licence, which, as I said previously he can get from a post office. KM

Depends how often you get fined and the inconvenience factor! It only costs just over a fiver from certain post offices and you don't need to go through anyone else (like the AA) to get one. http://www.postoffice.co.uk/international-driving-permit KM

I've used it a few times but don't recall seeing anywhere to secure anything, however I've always had someone with me. To be fair, it's mainly other farang there and they're more concerned with themselves and their 'accompanying' lady to bother your gear. There's no-one hawking stuff up there, just paying punters and staff. Hope that helps KM

Good booking sites to use for US visitors?
keyman replied to Chris100UK's topic in Airline Discussion
Instead of trying to pick holes in his recommendations, why don't you post something positive, like your own recommendations? That would be more useful to the OP than your sniping. KM -
Thai Airways have just released their special offers - flights from UK at @ £425 - this is just a week after me booking and paying over £200 more! Bastards! Business class @ £1700-ish KM

Don't you mean 'Dough!!' KM

I always find it odd that someone joins a website and their first two identical posts slag off a business. Surely it couldn't be someone mischief making? I've hired Nam before. All details confirmed including price. Was waiting for me at the airport, good car and driving, got a hug when she dropped me off. Return to the airport was on time, everything was as arranged. Just to balance his post KM
