Perhaps a good thing the fan missed.

It worries me that I understand the Bizzaro reference. I would have agreed until I saw some of the female Argentine fans on TV.

Same, same. As in You want fans in the U.S., you take what you get.

Recognize that those were two very good teams but 15 minutes in, it was almost certain it was going to penalty kicks. From what could be discerned on TV, it sounded like the crowd in the stadium was having trouble staying awake for most of the game.

Many, but certainly not all, turn around at the police box. -
And remember, the biggest part of Thailand's immigration problem does not involve westerners.

I think the helos are Vietnam War era UH-1 Iriquois (Hueys) with military markings and they are still operating them!

Glad to hear you found a place. Hope you check in once in a while to let us know how things are going.

Oh, heavens no, I was mostly (partly?) translating for my compatriots. Another guy on the ESPN staff, while agreeing with Obermann, said that when the NFL plays its annual game in London, the UK media is perfectly welcome to say that it was a match being played on the pitch.

For my fellow Americans, think cleats. For us, "boots" conjures some bizarre images if the sport in question is soccer/footie.

Old Soviet heavy lifter, NATO codename Hook. No, I wouldn't have gotten it without firth telling us. The U.S. military IDs look genuine. -
For a bit of an antidote to the video in the OP, which I enjoyed greatly, watch this from Keith Obermann. Obermann is a talking head for ESPN in the US and a bit of a professional troll, but he actually makes some (semi)serious points. It's only seven minutes. You could probably sum up with "The soccer game was played on the field and the final score was one-zero."

Thanks. The upkeep of the equipment displayed outside is impressive, particularly in that climate. When I first saw the thread title, I thought you had made a trip to Korea, then "Oh, yeah." -
Hope the results are negative. That is more likely than not. That being said, I am surprised you are in the hospital. I had that delightful procedure a few years ago and it was done outpatient. I even got to drive to/from. And I would have punched anybody who tried to stick anything else up there after the procedure was completed. That wasn't going to happen. Oh yes, the results were negative.

Or the owner of a Thai restaurant in Glasgow.

And you think it's the highlight of his day to stick a finger up your butt?

Knock on wood but no direct experience. My understanding is there has been vast improvement in the operation in recent years so that recovery from the surgery itself is much faster and easier. I would be guessing to say that was the robot.

A lot of false positives with the PSA.

By my experience that would be ballpark for a BPH visit without much in the way of tests. Took the ex to BPH last year because she had described what sounded like macular degeneration (it was). If I remember correctly the consult, including imaging of the back of the eyeball, came to 2,700 baht. Even though the possibility of my paying for treatment was obvious as I was there, the female opthamologist referred the ex to a specialist at the government hospital in Korat, near to where the ex lives, and wrote a referral letter. The cost of the treatment at the government hospital must have be

Gary, only a WAG but north of $20K in the U.S. would not shock me.

Not a good option when the elephant is sitting on your chest.

What's the thinking about going back to Oz for the final act--cost/insurance, quality of care or?

One of the few things I remember from the management course I took where the instructor tried to teach me something about statistics was that if somebody said the "average" was X, you didn't really know what he was talking about. You needed to know whether it was mean, median or mode. http://math.about.com/od/statistics/a/MeanMedian.htm No, I am not normally able to remember which is which.

I'd rather know what Jacko thought it meant.
