You seem to have a tendency to over react to a poster who admitted in another post that he misread the original post. From your post it seems that four guys came into the pub to have a drink. They passed by you and your group. You made a snide remark about them which one of them heard and pulled you on it. He didn't slap you about or threaten you. He simply asked if you were talking about him. Rather than stay in the same bar as you, he decided to go elsewhere with his friends. To me, you sound like the one looking for trouble, not the bikers.

Have you checked the AIS website to see if you can top up online. This can be done with most if not all western phone providers, so I'd imagine AIS is similar.

Booking a single flight is almost as expensive as booking a return flight. You will not save by booking 2 single flights,or even a single and return, it will cost you an arm and a leg. Jet Air seems to be the cheapest into UK at the moment.

Most of the Russians have gone home now, most of them were here in numbers Nov to April, staying away from the bleak Russian winter as mentioned earlier. There were a lot staying in the Condo complex that I'm living in down Jomtien. They keep themselves to themselves and spent most of their time at the pool or at the beach with their families or small groups. Many were groups of women, with or without kids. Most of the Russians have gone home. Regarding the Russians, I find that they keep themselves to themselves, never see them fighting, arguing or causing trouble.

There's a lot of BKK Thais in town for the Mayday weekend, closing places early so that they are not disturbed by drunken farang revellers returning to the hotels and Condos drunk and noisy at all hours of the morning

On the trip to and from Jomtien is was a hassle moreso from Dec on. Many Baht Busses wouldn't stop, only looking for bookings, the ones that did stop were then generally packed out with people standing in the back and 4 or 5 hanging on the back rail. It caused huge delays at the Pattaya Tai corner coming back to Jomtien as well. It's started to ease up a bit as the Russian numbers seem to be less. The Baht Busses are beep beeping again as I am just walking up the road, even when I'm walking in the opposite direction they beep, can never understand that one.

Anytime I see a Thai paying the Baht Bus, they always pay 10 Bht. This is more noticeable when two are together and they hand in a 20 bht note without getting change. I've seen it on numerous occasions when Thais get off at the same stop as I do. It was 5 Bht a number of years ago.

I spend 8,500 a month on Rent/Water/Electric Tilac does the laundry and 90% of the cooking, that comes to about 1,500 a week max. We go out approx twice a week spending approx 800 each time, she doesn't drink and she has 1 or 2 drinks a night, maybe ovaltine or orange juice.
