Immigration puts personal details online for all to see
Chang_paarp replied to Chang_paarp's topic in Expat Issues
That is easy. Each province and office is treated as a fiefdom by the administrators. That is why you get differing requirements at every provincial office of every government department, immigration is not alone in this practice, try dealing with revenue department or the labor department and of course the police. They all have varying interpretations of the laws created in BKK depending on who is sitting at the desk in front of you, and what their current boss says. -

Should we nominate Canterbury Tales or the Rockhouse as an appropriate venue? Any other places do we feel they should consider? -

It is Asia, there were markets even then, not much of a market. There were barley even toilets. -

Great photos as usual. Wow Borobudur has changed a lot since I was last there. The development around the area is a vast improvement from 1985. -
I thought Parky did not recommend investing in Thai rentals.

Great listing, wish I had the cash. Couple of quick questions, the answer to one could have been in you listing post. What are the condo maintenance fees? Is that the complex with water problems? And prying minds ask why are you selling such a great unit?

Titties ( ? ) On Jomtien... The Australian pie restaurant.

A tinny in modern Aussie lexicon is also a small metal boat used to go fishing, the use of it to refer to beer cans went out with Barry McKenzie. Again hard to see the relationship with meat pies other than that they are often consumed on the travel to and from fishing trips occasionally with beer. -
If you have a proper visa you do not need an exit ticket, that is for exemption on arrival. With a proper visa you can extend for mere money.

Bang Lamung Exercise Park - Bike Path
Chang_paarp replied to forcebwithu's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Great images thanks. The park has been planned/talked about for a number of years. I first heard about it in 2007 when I lived in the area, I was not optimistic it would eventuate. Good to see it finally come to fruition. i love the two tracks where the budget finished. -
Check with your doctor, some people can do extended dialysis twice a week rather than the normal 3 times ie 2x5hours rather than 3x4hours. This may be anecessary option for your holiday

Immigration puts personal details online for all to see
Chang_paarp replied to Chang_paarp's topic in Expat Issues
After the admin link and password (123456) was posted on Facebook the site was heavily edited/hacked and then taken down by the developers who were making the site for the Immigration Department. They were given live data to develop the site. Why it was not kept behind a firewall with some real security is an issue the Immigration Dept will want to discuss with the developers (oh to be a fly on the wall for that meting). Hope the Immigration Dept have more success in contacting them than the various media outlets who would like to get an interview or even a quote from them. -
Expats beware, from AMM's Facebook. The detail on that map is scary if you value your privacy.

Nice report Gabor, thanks for the information. I have noticed a string of positive reports your doing about food, keep this up and you will damage your reputation.

They are advertising on the back of buses in planet Perth, along with cosmetic surgery.

You need to a little more research. I have had a Thai PhD student as Thai language teacher, the government pays their tuition and they can repay by working in the government system for a number of years. If you do a quick search on TV, there is a recent news thread about a a Thai dentist who did her training at Harvard and has not repaid the government, she is disputing the payment terms rather than the dollars involved.
