I like Tropical Bert's on soi 6/1 for fish and chips. Good size portion and the fish is not overcooked.

You don't have to call it room service. I did. LOL about my favorite guest house. Good chance I'll be staying there again this September. As far as shilling goes. I never heard any complaints about all the positive comments. I've made about the FLB over the years.

Sounds like WOW gave good room service.

Do you know anyone who can come in and cook, clean for three weeks in September. If she offers full service massage would be a plus.

Pat's and Gino both make very good cheesesteaks. Pat was the first to offer cheese wiz. Many local cheesesteak places don't offer cheese wiz. They offer American, provolone or Cooper sharp. There are many local variations.

I can't speak about the 1000's of other restaurants but I've sent back a couple of steaks at the Tequila Reef that were inedible. No problem at the Reef but I did have a problem with the owner at Gregg's Kitchen. Gregg lost a good customer.

I would have spoken to the manager on duty and sent it back.

Pattaya is a good walking city to wander around. Same goes for Jomtiem. Fun city is big enough to offer good shopping, movie,etc. Easy to hook up a day trip for fishing. BKK is close enough for a couple of days. I never get bored in Pattaya.

Go back and read my post. My post is directed toward a NEWBIE. For the guy whose been to Pattaya many times and knows his way around the BG bull shit there a some fine BG that would make an excellent partner to go through life with. I've never been to the PI but over the years. I've met many women from the PI here in the US.

If a guys looking for a wife or long term girlfriend. Pattaya is the WRONG place to look. Pattaya is a town full of prostitutes, thieves and con artists. For the NEWBIE this town is great for two or three week relationships. If a guys looking for a wife. I'd recommend the Philippines and not the mongering towns. The girls for the most part speak reasonable English and are looking for a better life.

I like the location and the price is good for what you get.

I used Mr T last month when I arrived in BKK. Driver was on time. He drove safely and had a clean newish car.

If I remember correctly there's a tailor next to the FLB. A fellow BM bought a bunch of suits, shirts from the guy. He was very pleased with the quality. He remarked a couple of years later how well everything held up. I use the tailor next door to Sky-Top. He's reasonable with his prices and the quality is good. Sky-Top is located on 2nd Road near soi 6.

Sky-Top is open 24 hours. Lights are turned off but a staff member is up. Large room is 700 Baht.

Pattaya Beer Garden has 55 Baht draft beer. Served COLD.

My wife owns the Kindle Fire and loves it. Unfortunately it went belly up the other day. Amazon had a new replacement in her hands within 2 days. No hassle return.

I can understand their paranoia. Given that bank's seem to make many mistakes and for some strange reason. They are in the bank's favor most times.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly For my last night in Pattaya my mouth was all twisted up for some Mexican food. I headed over to soi 7 were the Tequila Reef is located. First the good news. The service was excellent and the beer was very cold. Just the way I like it. The tortilla soup was freshly prepared and was suburb. Now the not so good. I had the three piece appetizer. This included a cheese flat bread that was tasty. The chicken wings were tasteless and overcooked. There was a third item that was a wrap that was not to my taste.

Last week I was hungry for a hamburger. I occasionally eat at Burger King back home. I headed over to the Royal Garden Shopping Center and ordered a hamburger. Tasty burger at a reasonable cost. I headed up to Food Wave and had a cup of coffee at Starbuck's. I've eaten at Food Wave in the past and they serve good food.

We stopped by late for dinner. Order came within 15 Minutes of ordering. I had soup and a sandwich. The women I was with had Thai food and she told me it was very good. Both of us came away more then satisfied. BTW nice selection of good looking FL for take away..

Any bar that charges for a cold towel would lose me as a customer for good.
